The animation sucks, the voicing sucks, the character development sucks, the plot sucks, the idea sucks, the fact that it was re-aired sucks. Everything about this show sucks! Oh my God. Why do people like it? First off... The animating is terrible. It looks like a four year old drew those graphics. Second of all... What was going on? The show doesn't follow a plot so yeah. Third of all, the theme song. It makes you want to blow up like Cailou's theme song. And finally... The reviews. Why do people like it, you ask? Well, it's because they are drunk. The theme song is nothing like the good PBS show theme songs (such as Liberty's Kids, Square one Television and the like), it's more like on the Cailou & Barney level. So yeah, my review. Thanks for taking a peek at it and have a good day.

This show is excellent! It follows the adventures of Arthur, a 9 year old aardvark and his friends. I love it because it's realistic, the characters are funny, and it connected with me when I was 8 or 9, as i have glasses. One of my favorite episodes was when Arthur stayed up for New Year's... it was a classic! I loved every episode! The only show that compares to this is The Simpsons! This show has been on since 1996. For 18 seasons and over 200 episodes! Overall, I recommend this show for anyone, as it parodied South Park. It also deals with important subjects, like cancer, and it hasn't gone downhill, like SpongeBob. So, anyone, go see it! Oh, and the characters are cute, mostly mature, and realistic. When will they make a movie? Although the target audience is 4-9, I think 10+ can enjoy it, too.us

I was about nine or ten when I started watching 'Arthur' and the most memorable episodes from my childhood are 'Arthur's Birthday,' 'Arthur's First Sleepover (I can also recall imitating the alien trick from that episode)' and 'Arthur's New Year's Eve.' After several years of not watching this series, I watched a few episodes, both earlier and later, on YouTube two years ago, especially when I heard there was an episode about Asperger syndrome (I have it myself) and, despite Carl being a male child character and me being an adult female, I could relate to him in a few ways such as having an intense interest in a particular topic and becoming anxious in unfamiliar situations. Other episodes I could relate to were 'The Great MacGrady' where the school cook has cancer (my grandmother died from it as did Francine's grandfather when it was mentioned in this episode) and 'Jenna's Bedtime Blues' (where Jenna reveals she sometimes wets the bed, which is what I used to do until I was 18). Some episodes may have had subtle jokes aimed at adults such as the brief mentions of spin the bottle in 'Arthur's Birthday' and the entire concept of the 'Bleep' episode, which reminded me of 'The Powerpuff Girls' 'Curses' episode and the 'SpongeBob SquarePants' 'Sailor Mouth' episode.Anyway, back to 'Arthur' in a general sense. The animation in the first 15 seasons is sketchy yet smooth and from series 16 onwards, the animation appears to have more vibrancy than in earlier episodes and the characters still looked as consistent as they did in earlier episodes but the movements are not quite as smooth as they were in earlier episodes and are sometimes jerky due to these newer episodes being Flash-animated. Despite this change, I watched a few episodes and they still had great story lines with as much educational value as the earlier episodes, especially the one where Arthur teases Sue Ellen for her coat and also the one where Sue Ellen explains why she is a vegetarian. The theme tune by Ziggy Marley is very catchy with its cool reggae beat and the incidental music is often jolly, playful and upbeat but can sometimes be beautiful, especially at the end of the fantasy sequence of George on an alien planet in the Asperger's episode. The characters are realistic and some are easy to relate to, such as Carl who I've mentioned above. The voice acting is a bit of a mixed bag. While it is full of expression, certain characters have had very noticeable voice changes due to varying voice actors throughout the seasons, particularly George, Muffy, D.W. and Arthur to a lesser degree.Overall 'Arthur' is an appealing, often educational show for all ages despite its change of animation technique in season 16 and the characters' voices changing throughout the entire show. 8.5/10 to round up to IMDb's 9/10 rating.

Everyone may think that Arthur is just a silly kids show about friendship that kids love but adults hate, but that is not necessarily true. I like this show a lot, and I know many adults that love this show. It is about an aardvark named Arthur and his friends and family in misadventures which make up the episodes. It may sound stupid and boring, but I happen to think that this show was awesome. It is a great show for nostalgia and just a heart warming show that anyone can enjoy. Recommended for anyone and everyone. From ages 1 to 100. This show definitely delivers.10/10 or: A
