Adventure Time is an amazing, whimsical and creative expression of art against the rigidity, dullness and impossibility of real life and society. It is a beautiful artistic imitation of life, bringing a form of fun and freedom to kids AND adults, of all ages!
... View MoreAdventure Time is, and always will be, a masterpiece. This show has the perfect blend of sci-fi and fantasy with a magical wonderland set in a post-apocalyptic world. Nothing is always as it seems in the whimsical land of Ooo, and there are many mysteries to be solved. I will admit, the show is very strange, and some episodes are creepy. However, the shows strangeness and slight creepiness reminds me of the original Grim fairy tales. Every character has their own backstory, so don't judge a book by its cover. The show also has a kinda warped sense of humor, but it's still funny. Sadly, the show is ending soon, but don't worry! Adventure Time is sure to live on in other forms of entertainment such as comics, video games, and maybe even in other shows. If you are new to the show, you have plenty of seasons to keep you occupied. This show is definitely worth checking out, but I will advise you that it may creep out younger children. I recommend Adventure Time to fans of Gravity Falls, Bravest Warriors, and Over The Garden Wall (vise versa if you are an AT fan looking for something new to watch). This title gets a thumbs up from CriticalBunniez 👍
... View MoreWhen I first saw this show, I was unimpressed by the artwork and it seemed like a show for little kids so I didn't really pay it much attention. The times that my daughter watched it, I found myself getting sucked more and more into it. The characters really drew me in. I loved the crazy ice king and thought he was hilarious. Magic man was also funny because he was such a weird jerk with magical powers who at one point turned Finn into a foot. But in the end you find out that he lost his wife and went mad with grief and power. I also liked Princess bubblegum because she was not only a leader but a scientist. There is so much depth to each character and even the ones I started out hating I grew to like and appreciate.
... View MoreA few amazing episodes in its time on TV. The art style is unique and the show just breathes and lives cartoon weirdness. At its best you'll get adventure story arc and perhaps witty dialouge and memorable characters maybe a musical number or two.I think the show can get a little dull. My problem is not that these episodes are filler. Not every episode has to advance a story to be good the big popular example being Spongebob which had absolutely no continunity yet was entertaining enough to stand multiple viewing and still be enjoyable. The later few seasons pump out really great episodes once in a while, but the bulk of the filler stuff from the newer season is dull and many of these episodes have strange unclear messages with vauge interpretations. Its more of a soap opera without quirky dialouge or decent action to carry it.
