I have been watching "A Haunting" since it first aied on Discovery over ten years ago. First off, the narration is the key to this show being a success. Anthony Call is perfect and adds and extra element to the already creepy premise. I wouldn't watch it if he wasn't narrating. The special effects are above average and the acting is pretty solid. The earlier seasons were higher on the "Scare-O-Meter" but they all are still above average for a horror series. I could watch this show for twenty sesons easily. Let's hope it continues to receive good ratings and they keep the show interesting and fresh!!! I myself have had some extremely scary experiences in my life and have seen things that cannot be explained by science or the know-it-all skeptic. My brother himself was a skeptic until he brought home a Ouija board and played around with it for over a month. I believe doing this would change any skeptics mind. I don't advise it but if you are a skeptic and don't believe, why not?

I absolutely love this show but I have noticed 3 episodes with the same exact lady who went to a plantation and brought a ghost home, this episode is the same woman but it changes every time. Then I seen the same lady with the same story line but once again it changed, she has sons this time on paranormal witness. Then the brand new episode "face of evil" has the same woman with the same story but the husband is left out. makes me wonder if the show is completely fake. That all the ppl are actor's. Kinda makes me want to stop watching. I believe there are ghost in the world and it would be nice to know of some of the episodes are real people with real stories.

I was completely amazed how great this series is. I watch it every day and I never loose interest. It has disturbing scenes and a little blood but it's not enough to scare you. You could let your children watch it, because it's not as frightening and unbelievably sick as most horror movies/shows. It's family rated, but it has just enough scary in it to make you want to watch it more an more. The acting is pretty good. I wouldn't say it's the best but it's very con vincible and the special effects were really good. If your into horror that's not too scary you should really check it out. It's something that the whole family could watch and it'll seriously convince you.

I've always had an interest in this subject matter since I was a kid, I had a few incidents, I'll explain in a moment. The show is pretty intriguing. I like the way it's presented with the actors, real "victims" and narrator. Production value is top-notch for Discovery which actually when I think about it, is a pretty damn good network. The only problem I have is with the spastic editing before and after commercial breaks. Hell, even during the show the ghost flashing gets carried away. Not so much detracting from the story but getting annoying (like this review).OK, I like this show because I had a few experiences with a ghost in my Mom's cousins house in the mid-70's. I was only 7-8 yrs. old. One night, rocking chair rocking by itself. Sounds clichéd? Yes, I totally agree but it happened when I woke up in the middle of the night and my sister was asleep next to me. Secondly, my sister and I with my second-cousins watched as a few toys levitated and spun.I forgot most of this until I remembered the rocking chair incident years later and called my Ma's cousin. I recounted the story and she said in a very nonchalant way, "Oh, I forgot about him". Apparently he "tried" to spook the family and played many pranks. A levitating head at the foot of her bed whereas she scolded him saying, "shoo..shoo!". LOL. She is a down to earth Baptist from Battle Creek, Michigan. Many stories, email me if you want detail. But hey, great show!
