I absolutely love this show but I have noticed 3 episodes with the same exact lady who went to a plantation and brought a ghost home, this episode is the same woman but it changes every time. Then I seen the same lady with the same story line but once again it changed, she has sons this time on paranormal witness. Then the brand new episode "face of evil" has the same woman with the same story but the husband is left out. makes me wonder if the show is completely fake. That all the ppl are actor's. Kinda makes me want to stop watching. I believe there are ghost in the world and it would be nice to know of some of the episodes are real people with real stories.

I was so excited to hear that the creators of this show were bringing it back in 2012. I have watched rerun after rerun of the previous seasons. My favorite episode being "Unleashed." Now there seems to be some haters reviewing this show and it seems that their problem is not so much with the content of the show but more about organized religion or more specifically Christianity. If they accept that these are true stories and the individuals involved are just relating to us what exactly happened and how they dealt with their haunting (Christian methodology in most cases) then how can they not agree that the Christian way of eradicating the spirits is good if the outcome is good. And apparently it seems to be the only way that works. It's a great show that brings to light the spiritual battle that goes on beyond our physical realm yet it shows very well how these beings want to effect our world and in some cases the well being of the individual being haunted.

Every time I watch this program it irritates me. I cannot see how a person with any sense can handle this. In most of the episodes I have seen either people get involved in Wicca, Druidism, or something else equally harmless and horrible things happen to them or they clearly have a psychological condition which makes them susceptible to hearing voices or the like. Then, as predictably as a parable in Bible Study, they go back to the fold of the church or something and then, magically, everything is OK again. Is this show some form of propaganda or is it just celebrating the most extreme superstitiousness I've ever seen?

I've always had an interest in this subject matter since I was a kid, I had a few incidents, I'll explain in a moment. The show is pretty intriguing. I like the way it's presented with the actors, real "victims" and narrator. Production value is top-notch for Discovery which actually when I think about it, is a pretty damn good network. The only problem I have is with the spastic editing before and after commercial breaks. Hell, even during the show the ghost flashing gets carried away. Not so much detracting from the story but getting annoying (like this review).OK, I like this show because I had a few experiences with a ghost in my Mom's cousins house in the mid-70's. I was only 7-8 yrs. old. One night, rocking chair rocking by itself. Sounds clichéd? Yes, I totally agree but it happened when I woke up in the middle of the night and my sister was asleep next to me. Secondly, my sister and I with my second-cousins watched as a few toys levitated and spun.I forgot most of this until I remembered the rocking chair incident years later and called my Ma's cousin. I recounted the story and she said in a very nonchalant way, "Oh, I forgot about him". Apparently he "tried" to spook the family and played many pranks. A levitating head at the foot of her bed whereas she scolded him saying, "shoo..shoo!". LOL. She is a down to earth Baptist from Battle Creek, Michigan. Many stories, email me if you want detail. But hey, great show!
