an old college roommate of mine who works in Hollywood as a casting agent showed me a video of this film a few nights ago when he came to my home town of ft. worth tx to visit.i truly enjoyed this film. it was funny, sad, quirky, and had some of the most memorable characters i have ever seen in a movie. a very clever idea with heartfelt direction. i don't want to sound like my parents, but why aren't there more films like this being made? anyone have any idea when yard sale will be in theatres or TV? i'd pay to see it again.--tim

Yard Sale is a unique film which uses humor to soften the heartbreak of separation. Anyone who has gone through or even contemplated divorce will identify with Harley and Rene as they go through their last day together. Yard Sale is a refreshing approach to "love turned sour" with a wonderful cast of interfering and intrusive characters who help Harley and Rene face their future. The uncertainty of the outcome of their day is mirrored by the people who they encounter. It would appear that most of what a person might feel in a lifetime is felt by Harley or Rene or both in that final day. And they take you with them making you laugh and angry and sad and cry.

I personally like the light-hearted yet seriousness of this film. It reveals reality in today's life among the married..and some of the popular ways in which "staying together" are tried...and from a distance is often quite funny. Marriage problems are NOT always guns, drinking, dope, wild kids, money issues...but can also be other very touching and personal feelings. The timing is set to "move along" without leaving you 'on the edge' with heart pounding wonder. This film trailer does entice me to want to see the movie which reminds me of some of Tom Hank's films...with wonderful music which matches excellently with the film...As with many of Tom Hank's movies, character of personality lead in it's most admirable ways.
