My wife, daughter and I went to see this movie Sunday morning. This was a most incredible experience. The stories of those folks who went through the May 20th, 2013 tornado in Moore, OK; the story of the mother and daughter who lost a husband/father, and a daughter/sister in the 2011 Joplin, MO tornado, who were led to come to Moore to help out and where their journey led them; the story of the couple who lost their only son and how that sacrifice brought new meaning to their lives; and the story of the teacher at Plaza Towers Elementary who suffered tremendous injuries (but saved 3 of her students by laying on top of them),and how her life has changed. These are just some of the stories that are presented in this film. But all are stories of Hope and Faith that need to be shared, stories to never forget. This movie is for everyone to see regardless of faith. What was really memorable was the music score composed by Christopher Clark that really enhanced this powerful film. I hope that this soundtrack is recorded and sold as a CD. I would certainly buy it and listen to it often. I am sharing my experience with this movie and I hope everyone else who sees it shares their experiences with everyone they know also.
... View MoreAfter texting my daughter-in-law at 2:20 PM on May 20, 2013, to be watchful as storm heading their way, then watching in horror the classic cone shape morph into a monster column heading straight for their area, I fell to my knees asking God to protect our family from this deadly tornado. Within minutes, everything changed. No communication, no knowledge of who was OK. It was the most frightening day of my life. We are thankful to have been spared the heartache of lives lost. And, even though much of their "normal" has changed, there have been many days of hope and promise of better times ahead through our son's family's process of recovery. The creators of this film have captured the essence of God's mercy, grace and love in our lives through trauma and tragedy. You will be touched by these stories, and hopefully find peace and purpose in your own daily walk in this Gift of Life. We were completely blown away (forgive the pun) by many, many, many acts of kindness and compassion from family, friends, and even unknowns after the storm--another testament as to Where Was God. . . He is in and working through each of us! Well done, producers and cast!!
... View MoreThis film was so well made. I felt kind of speechless after viewing this film. Not only was it a documentary that allowed for a glimpse into the events of May 20th 2013 but it was also very artistic and creative. It was captivating the entire length of the film. All the stories of finding hope in the midst of suffering are brought together in a beautiful thread throughout the film. The music score is amazing. The music was beautiful, intense at parts and uplifting. Peoples' stories are genuine and while difficult in a lot of ways, they are also inspiring and hopeful. You will laugh and cry with the people interviewed. Overall you will walk away an amazing perspective of how to find hope in suffering. This is a must see!
... View MoreOh my goodness!! Get ready to cry, laugh and for your heart to be touched like never before!! Bring your own Kleenex. Some movies make me tear up a bit, but this movie made me sob like a baby. Watching this movie made me realize we all go through storms in our lives. Some are more difficult than others but there is one absolute. Where is God? He's right there with us, embracing us and holding our hand through it all. I love how this movie was unscripted and you could tell people were genuine and spoke form the heart. Despite what all the different families went through, this movie gave me hope and helped me put things in perspective. What an amazing, powerful "must-see" movie. I highly recommend it!!
