In New Orleans, Madison Walker (Sarah Roemer) suffers from dissociative identity disorder (DID) and tries to commit suicide. She is treated together with other patients by the psychologist Dr. Elizabeth Barnes (Elisabeth Shue). Madison has an estranged mother, who is a religious fanatic woman, and her father was neglectful with her when she was younger. When Madison leaves the psychiatric hospital, she goes to her old apartment. Then she decides to lock herself in the apartment for thirty day expecting to find why she is so messed up since she has neither friend not a job. On the 30th day, Madison makes an important discovery about Dr. Barnes and her patients. In the end, nothing is real."Waking Madison" is an overrated drama with a messy screenplay that throws several situations apparently without timeline but a surprising conclusion. I was bored with this movie but fortunately I have watched it to the end, when there is a surprising revelation. "Waking Madison" has good performances and it is worth to be lenient and see to the very end. My vote is five.Title (Brazil): "O 30o Dia" (The 30th Day")

Strong variety contrasts in characters and scenes. Like a good puzzle, you want to put the pieces together. Insightful and compassionate story, which would help outsiders to the issues dealt with to empathize with others, yet at the same time search your own self for issues that may be relevant to your life; i think this back and forth engagement creates a meaningful and helpful dialogues for all viewers to gain something more than they had before they viewed the movie. The actresses seem especially qualified to fulfill the characters developed, which is an asset to the success of this movie; too many movies quickly skim over characters and scenes due for a variety of reasons, from saving money to sometimes compromising when too many people are making decisions, or simply just trying to fit everything into a fixed time frame. I don't feel scenes disappear too quickly; we, as viewers seem to get the message at that particular point and are ready to engage the next piece of the story. Certainly, this reflects Katerine Brooks ability to form, edit, and reform a movie until it reaches it's necessary artistic closure.

I love everything that Katherine Brooks does so I had to see this film. I just watched it last night and I loved it. It has a great story and amazing acting! Sarah Roemer does a fantastic job! Everyone needs to support Katherine and this film! Shes amazing! If you haven't checked out her last film Loving Annabelle you should because it is also amazing! Katherine really knows how to tell a story and can capture it beautifully. I love how she doesn't like to use sound stages and uses real locations. It just brings so much more character and realness to a film! Everyone go and check the film out and then go and write a review and rate it! Also support her new journey and film Face 2 Face.

i got mixed up at some point in the movie but when i understood i though it was awesome it needs a good brain to create that kind of movie and i just love it when i get lost in a movie and find my way back in that means it really captured my attention...it is different from :Loving Annabelle but thats the point i think...thriller suspenses and horror are my favorite kind so i did enjoy watching this movie. in my opinion there is a sad side about the story of the girl and what she has been trough but its a lesson that we never know what a person is going trough in its personal life so we should always be kind..i hope there will be more movie like this in the future.Katherine Brooks is an awesome filmmaker and director i hope she will create many more movies like this one.
