Twenty years after vicious serial killer Karl the Butcher went on a grisly rampage his chip off the old block wacko son Karl Jr. decides to pick up where his deranged dad left off.Writer/director Andreas Schnaas shows considerable signs of improvement as a filmmaker with this much better made sequel: We've got a more coherent, if still pretty slight, narrative, a faster pace, hilariously warped touches of sick humor, competent widescreen cinematography by Steve Aquilina, a hard-thrashing rock theme song, Karl Jr. enjoying a depraved and incestuous relationship with his hideous hag of a mother (Anke Prothmann in grotesque make-up), and funny outtakes at the end. Naturally, Schnaas certainly doesn't skimp on the gloriously ghastly and copious excessive over-the-top splatter and spurting blood: Amongst the disgusting delights to be relished herein are decapitations, one poor fat dude having fishhooks ripped into his testicles (ouch!), throat slashings, a vagina getting stapled shut, eviscerations, and a wild porn theater massacre set piece. Good demented fun.

Well, after watching the first 'Violent Shit' film, I couldn't help myself but watch the sequel because I couldn't comprehend how this movie could get much sicker than its predecessor. The plot is along the same lines as the first 'Violent Shit' except that the infamous Karl "The Butcher" who is slayed in the first 'Violent Shit' leaves behind his son Karl "The Butcher" Jr. to take over...with the help of his sick, twisted and perverted mother. Mommy dearest gives orders to Karl "The Butcher" Jr. and he listens, even if it's "motherly affection." This movie is one of the most disturbing and perverted movies I've ever seen as I thought nothing could top the first 'Violent Shit'. There is more of the same style slaughtering and torture in this film but with a sick twist on a relationship between a mother and son. If you're into shock value - or lots and lots of blood and guts - this film could make as the perfect Christmas present for you.

Violent Shit 2 by German Andreas Schnaas is another attempt in over the top gore department, but it is not as brutal as first "Shit" film, which had no humor in it. Shit 2 tries to be funny at the same time and that is its worst mistake as it definitely is not funny, just stupid. Gore flows again in nasty detail and people are knifed, sliced, hooked and blown off in low budget gore spirit. Couple of scenes are disgusting and nasty (for example the "hook" scene) and some effects are okay done for example the shootings and so on..But this is nothing special and recommended for gorehounds only and the ones who have seen the first film, that is far more disturbing piece of "Shit." I think that part two may be "easier" to watch due to its comic elements, but all others than horror fanatics will find this impossible to sit through.5/10 as a splatter pick and worth watching if you think you're interested in this stuff. But not as near as nasty as the first Violent Shit. If you're interested in German underground horror, I suggest Jörg Buttgereit's cinema.

This one reminds me of the early works of Peter "Bad Taste" Jacksons. It's much better than the first one. There is better effects and it is also technically better. So if you like stupid (german) dialogue, sick effects and no plot, this one should do it. There's also refferences to other horror classics like Friday the 13th and Evil Dead. It's out on DVD, in a German Special Edition. All three Violent Shit movies+ tons of extra material, like Behind the scene, audio commentaries and slideshow. A must buy for splatter fans!
