Undercover Angel Trailers

With his landlord breathing down his neck and his writing career stagnant, the last thing Harrison Tyler (Dean Winters) needs is a kid hanging around. But he's in for a surprise when his ex-girlfriend (Lorraine Ansell) leaves her precocious 6-year-old (Emily Mae Young) in his care for a few weeks. It turns out the girl possesses remarkable matchmaking skills, and soon Tyler's professional and romantic fortunes begin to turn around.

Yasmine Bleeth is one of the most strikingly beautiful actresses of the last 20 years, and could easily be said to have stolen this movie -- except for the presence of the real scene stealer, Emily Mae Young.Emily Mae is an astonishing find, a very young actress -- age approximately 8 when this movie was made, but playing age 6 -- who had screen presence of someone at least 20 years older.Sad to say, she seems to have done very little since "Undercover Angel."The story is slight, but touching, and doesn't always flow smoothly, but the talent of the two female leads overcomes any possible flaws.Actually nearly all the performers are capable and very watchable, but, as light as it is, "Undercover Angel" is worth watching again and again just to see Yasmine Bleeth and Emily Mae Young, who I hope will come back to show biz.

Just finished watching this movie. I was surprised that there were quite less reviews for this. So I thought I will add one. You fall in love with Emily from her first frame. She is sure to make you smile. Movie did turn a little predictable towards the end. But thats totally forgivable considering all the minutes before. Well played by Dean Winters and Yasmine Bleeth too. Supercute Emily steals the show in every frame. It isn't just her looks, it is her acting mainly..even her little expressions can make you smile..It is not one of those annoying movies were kids play adult. I recommend this movie to all who wants to smile watching a sweet movie.

Despite the number of positive comments previously made this movie HARDLY qualifies as "good". I suppose you would give it that description if you were of the female persuasion AND less than 10 years old AND could identify with the child character. Otherwise this is a waste of time for all the reasons so eloquently mentioned by <rps-2> on 15 May 2004.... and more. A suspension of disbelief is strongly required. <possible spoilers herein> I have never previously been disappointed by James Earl Jones but this movie must have been a contractual obligation for him - his part is ludicrously written. The mother has no redeeming qualities - she comes across as hard-nosed, career-centric and selfish. The dead-beat father is redeemed only by his girlfriend - portrayed by Yasmine Bleeth who actually copes quite well in this brain-fluff of an excuse for a story. Altogether a pointless effort. One star out of 10 and that's for Emily Mae Young who does commendably well in this cutesy story.

This is a great movie with a very good plot also. You can help feeling heart broken in some scenes and love sick in others. Emily Mae Young was very god for her age, and i was also impressed with Dean Winters acting performance. I have followed what little of a career he has, and I think he has a very promising future. Especially in his work in "Oz". It's a great family film and i would highly recommend it.
