I was bit surprised at the cold responses this movie got from viewers and at box office. This movie really present some beautiful script which is inspired from some movies from hollywood but the emotions that are reflected in this movie really make you feel to be fall in true love and bring smile on your your someone special , whatever may be the cost. I enjoyed every bit of right from flirting , to the end which went through multiple up downs.

Ajay Devgan post ZAKHM esp is known as a great actor he has directed portions of flop MAJOR SAAB when Tinnu Anand was sick those days so that gave him kinda experienceIn this film he tries an emotional subject and handles it quite well but there are problems as well He copies the style of narrative from THE NOTEBOOK and brings across a nice emotional filmBut??????The first half is damn boring especially the characters of his friends and also the romance is not too catchy barring here and there The drunken scenes are damn stupidAjay revealing the truth is well handled and then we move on The interval point brings a twist and we are hooked But looks like Ajay hasn't done full research or ignored the real problems faced by the person having the sickness There are forced songs in second half like the Saiyan song and also the entire climax looks too sudden and sort of unbelievable But the emotional breakdown drunken act is brilliantly directed and acted by Ajay even the scene in the hospitalDirection by Ajay Devgan is good in parts and bad in some Music is okay, the title song stands out and also JEE LE Camera-work is bad, especially in scenes on the ship where Ajay- Kajol are given damn too funny close ups Editing too is jerky, whatz with the small guy making faces?Ajay Devgan starts off looking too skinny, amateurish in the comic act which gets boring and then he gets better and handles the emotional part very well thankfully he is in form because post Omkara he pulled down his histrionics and did crap films and acts Kajol excels especially in the scenes showing her sickness though she shreiks badly at times Amongst rest Sachin khedekar is okay Divya Dutta shouts too much, the rest are bad especially Isha and that cousin of Akshaye

I wouldn't call this movie a must watch, but if you've got nothing to do for a couple of hours.... Kudos for picking such a difficult topic as Alzheimer's as still many people don't understand this disease. Lots of copying from The Notebook, but I don't really mind watch Bollywood remakes, however for this film it might have been better if they just did a scene by scene copy bollywood style. A good effort from the Devgan's,unfortunately the love story just wasn't believable for me. Ajay and Kajol looked great together, but they're aging. The acting wasn't too bad, but when your don't have good dialogue it doesn't matter. It would have been better showing them falling in love after an arranged marriage, instead of the whole love at first sight thing. Boring scenes when Ajay looks through Piya's scrapbook and the film shows choppy childhood scenes which were pointless. Also the whole salsa dancing scenes were painful to watch and what was up with the kid who stalks them on the boat? Not nearly enough scenes of normal life after marriage. I found the camera work to be annoying like others have said. Lots of weird close ups (I mean I could see their pores!!). Usually the first half of bollywood films are more fun to watch, but not here, the second half of this one is much better than first. I really liked the supporting characters a lot and would have liked to see more developed stories there since they open the film. Divya Dutta is always a joy to watch. She should do more films. ps. I liked the guy who said "he felt like ripping his arm out and bashing his head" - hilarious, still laughing!!

Rating: 4/5!!! Very much recommended!!! I have to say I truly applaud Ajay Devgan's directorial debut. There were moments of great truth and brilliance, and I really appreciated what I felt was a very smart use of symbolic images (watch it and you'll understand). It's truly a remarkable story. I think Mr. Devgan has a talent for story telling. And his cinematographic eye is remarkable. I think he truly understands that a story in film can be (should be?) narrated through images, acting AND words, in an effective combination of the three (MINOR SPOILER here: I loved the juxtaposition of images and dialog on the cruise when Ajay tells Piya about his watch. I felt it was very effective).Very few times I've felt that a character is as real as Ajay, and I really have to say I was very moved by his characterization of a true, flawed and brave human being. My only comments that could be read as a constructive critique, are very minor. One, the quotes at the beginning are somewhat hard to read as the letters come "flying" to their respective positions in the sentence. Also, they deter the viewer's attention from the initial credits (I'd like my name to be read if I'd been part of the crew!) All in all, I loved the film for its beautiful story, use of words, images, acting, music. Kajol as always manages to take us to unimaginable heights through her performance, and you create the perfect platform for her to do so, while embodying perfectly what human love is all about.
