As we all know, Vijay is a great actor and Murugadoss is a very a very talented and creative director. So just imagine what would happen if they come together? Can't imagine? Then just do one thing- Watch Thuppakki, you will get the answers to all your questions.Written and directed by Murugadoss, Thuppakki is one of the finest Tamil films ever. It's evident from every bit of the film's screenplay. Murugadoss has used the army concept very well and Vijay fits in it. I think that except Vijay anyone would have done this role but not with that perfection with which Vijay has done it. It's true, not just for Vijay, but for the entire film. The film scores well in every department and the occasional thrills in the film make you sit by the edge of the seat. It is the style of Murugadoss to make every scene look amazing. This thing is visible even in the intermission scene.The fights, performances, VFX and screenplay are all amazing. You don't get a chance to blink at all. After all, the focus remains only on the storyline, and nothing except it. It's a very good point. Besides, there are no scenes that would actually hinder the film's screenplay. However, it's nothing except the music, that hinders a bit. If a few songs would have been removed, the pace would have been well. But still, you forget these small blemishes and go on to watch the film.Overall, Thuppakki is a mind blowing entertainer, as well as a very different film by Vijay. If you want great thrill in your movies and some brainstorming puzzles, then watch Thuppakki. As I said before, you will get all your answers. Today it's a blockbuster, but for tomorrow, it's going to be a classic film.

Im not a big fan of tamil/telugu films but many films are good. Thupakki made by AR Murugadoss is a good thriller. The film starts off quite well with typical romance and all but ever since the twist is out, it becomes captivating As the film is set in Mumbai Hindi is used more which make it natural though Vijay's Hindi isn't that good yet it gives the film authenticity. The film has good action scenes and good thrills There is the obligatory love story and songs too but thankfully not too irritating.Direction is good Music is as usualVijay does well in his role, Kaajal Agarwal is decent too Vidyut Jamwal who did villain roles in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu films before debuting as a lead in Commando is good in his role Zakir Hussian is as usual rest are okay

After a very long gap a Biggest Blockbuster from Kollywood. Excellent Screenplay from A.R.Murugadoss. The First Hero of the movie is story line. Vijay 100% perfectly fit into the role Jagdish Danapal as a army man. We can see completely a Different, stylish, smart VJ in this movie. This one film beat all his 53 previous films list. His acting, dialogs, expressions, fight, dance everything up-to the mark. He shows the meaning of MASS. His brainy moves & techniques to catch the villain are Extraordinary. The main plus point of the movie is Hero & villain both are equally talented. Full of twists and turns. Santhosh Sivan's cinematography grabs you into the screen and feel each and every shots. Another main thing is Mission Theme Music from Harris, that theme makes the scenes more racy. Kajal, Jeyaram, Satyan are perfect in their roles. Except the songs not even the one scene will make u bore. Dialogues about Nation & Army are Heart touching. Historical Hit of this film made audiences to expect Thuppakki-2. I'm Waiting for it. Hats-off to whole team. A must watch for movie Lovers. Don't miss it.

The movie starts of well & keeps you guessing till the end. It also has some twists, but this movie doesn't deserve 10/10. Why it's good: 1. To watch Vijay. If you're Vijay's fan, this is one of his best you can expect. 2. Story with twists, patriotism & Kajal 3. A good commercial story, though could've been better. Why it's not best: 1. To watch Vijay!! One hero taking many!? - Unrealistic sometimes, he works on some hunches, he can recover from his broken arm within 10 minutes, can kill countless armed people, etc. 2,3,4.. Watch it, you'll realize. I don't want to reveal spoilers.On the whole, a good tamil movie. But not a best thriller like "A Wednesday" as it is being hyped. This doesn't deserve to be in IMDb's top, having avg. 9 rating. It's worth watching once & don't expect it to be best as per the ratings. It's rated 9/10 or 10/10 by vijay's fans only.
