Mary is a horror-movie junkie whose obsession is out of control, leading her over-protective father to ban her from seeing scary flicks. But when she and her friends sneak out to see a film called The Wisher, its creepy antagonist seems to escape into her life and make her darkest desires come true.

I'll start with the spoiler first: Girl has some sort of psychic connection with horror movies and after a few contrived scenes, she develops the ability to say "I wish" XXX would happen, and then it does. I wish she had made the wish for me to not spend my time on this terrible, terrible, terrible flick. Don't get me wrong--I am a fan of bad horror flicks. I am not a fan of this one. But, to be honest, I only made it halfway through. I had the movie on in the background while I was working. Perhaps during the second half of the movie, Wisher/Spliced became the Citizen Kane of B-horror films. But I doubt it. Citizen Kane had the suspense til the end; we found out that Rosebud was a sled. There's no suspense til the end of this movie; you'll find out that it sucks rocks early on.

The first time i watched The Wisher was when i was 10. I was at home watching it by myself. No offense but i have seen more frightening movies before that. Im now 12 turning 13 in December but i still like the movie. I classify this movie as one of my favourites with: Underworld, Underworld 2, Vanhelsing, Cursed and many other movies Alian 1 - 3 are kind of my favorites but they aren't scary either. I started watching "scary" movies when i was fairly little and still like watching them. I gave The Wisher seven out of ten because it is fairly good and a bit surprising but is not perfect. Plus i never say anything is perfect because there is normally always something better. The person who was the wisher was kind of surprising but the director put in a bit too many clues like when the girl said "i wish she knew how pretty she really isn't" or something like that it was kind of obvious when the guy said "who". Otherwise it was OK.

It was just yesterday that I saw the film. I do acknowledge the fact that English movies do contain the "chill element", but "The wisher", could not chill, except for its sudden appearances. The question which arises is - do these movies really bring out the fear in us, or are we subjected to emotions which are otherwise dormant. I certainly as a sane person, do not see somebody slashing me in a weird dress and running away in broad daylight.Horror was Rebecca.. it made a shiver run up Ur spine. The Wisher can and does give its scary moments, all thanks to the camera-work, and the sudden moments of suspense created by the director. The bottomline - the film could have been much better.

If the movie is bad, I'll say that it is bad. And here it come - "This movie is among the worst I have ever seen". What wastage of time and electricity. The story is plagiarizing from other horror movie, such as The Wish Master and Nightmare On Elm Street into this pile of (you know). The acting is horrible not to mention the dialogues, "I wish this, and I wish that". Tell me the truth have you ever used this phase "I wish you, shut up!!" what the hell what that? Everything is evolving around the simple word "WISH" (tell the truth, I hardly heard anyone saying this word for years).I don't probably have to tell you who the wisher is, cause 5 min into movie you'll know, so save yourself from it.Reason To Watch: · NoneReason Not To: · Everything in the world,Rating: 2/10 (Grade: F)
