I looked forward to see this movie when i first got it for a few years ago, Norwegian movies in this genre don't grow on trees! And it lived up to my expectations. It's a low budget film, but i still think they managed to make it really good. The bloody scenes in this movie look realistic enough for me, and i thought the acting is pretty good. It's one of my favorites in my horror collection. The killer in this movie is a ''slaughter'', and some scenes are quite strong. Really something for Troma/slasher fans. And to the makers of this movie:Keep up the good work!

First . if this were a Hollywood production would someone graded this somewhat lower .... BUT this is an amateur film.with amateurs ... and they do actually a good job.and behind camera is also qualities .. some places there are details critics will react on. but they are helping to create a reality and charm of the movie .... as in a scene where the star being chased by one in camouflage and we see the camera a little bumpy. but that gives it rather a feeling of fleeing with her .. further we get some great nature shots and thought of that a really disturbed person can operate in such a place undisturbed adds an extra tip ... if I should mention something negative it must be the scene where the star wakes up after been knocked down .... again ... and wakes topless . we are getting a little feeling that she is more concerned about what appears on the film than she is knocked down and undressed in the forest .. here she could either retained bra or taken it out completely. but it comes effects providing chill..like when a girl is hung upside down..and Kimsys revenge. so considering that this is amateurs.low cost movie ... I will give a higher grade ... I was left with a smile and anxiously awaits further productions from the same crew ... and some more budget ...

Nowadays a lot of horrors are coming from the north, this is one from Norwegian. Northern horrors are known for pure gore flicks. So it's always dangerous to release a flick worldwide if it is the first attempt of a director. This is Lars-Erik Lief first attempt and I have mixed feelings about it. Don't get me wrong, I dig exploitation and trash.I even can stand first time actors but then you must have something strong to make it believable. The weakest thing in horror is to find the perfect actor to do the killer. It stands or it falls by choosing that actor. This time it falls. The killer wasn't scary and wasn't even believable, he tried to be a psycho but it just didn't work out. Also there are a few problems with the editing. Some scene's just take a bit too long. On part of the acting it could have been so much scarier. When they see the killer for example driving away with a victim, the victims sister do see her head coming across the car's window and she just say her name, not even in panic or screaming. A mistake. But what makes it watchable is the use of a lot of blood. Okay, some is CGI but most blood you see is being cut from naked girls. And there are a lot of them in this Norwegian horror. It's as gratuitous as it can get especially the one with the tattooed girl with piercing through her nipples. It's sad that some acting tear this flick down and the killer that isn't believable at all. On the disc you can see the original ending but due problems with second unit camera they couldn't use it and that explains the sudden end of this flick. If you want a no brainer with some juggs here and there then this is your thing.Gore 2/5 Nudity 1,5/5 Effects 2/5 Story 2,5/5 Comedy 0/5

The Thrill of a Kill was a nice viewing. I got a signed copy of the AWE release by the director himself... (lots of nice extras on the DVD)...And when I was going to see the film I did not have the highest expectations just because of the fact that this is a very low budget film. The actors are not the best, but i loved the "Serial Killers" performance by Arve Herman Tangen and his lines are sick and delightfully disturbing. The plot is not of the most original kind, but I have seen worse and they really make it work in this one.The gore is good but could have been maybe not better, but more of it. also cut a bit down on the CGI. But to all of you CGI-Gore haters, this is NOT a worst case scenario. It's still very much watchable. All in all I would say that this is a perfect movie for a dark summers night to all slasher and exploitation lovers. And Lars-Erik Lie Hope there is more to come from you... (But hopefully also on a higher budget.. hehe;P )
