Being subscribed to Gorezone magazine UK this year they gave us a free DVD with every issue. Looks pretty nice. Each time the freebee comes out they have put a independent movie on it hosted by Emily Booth. Gorezone is known for his, sigh, gore and nudity. So on part one we could watch a movie by Bryn Hammond, the editor of Gorezone. The movie is so called based on true events. Shots used in the begin credits were in fact real pictures taken by the cops. Right. If you believe that then you're in for a treat at Xmas. The storyline is very simple, we have seen it a million times before. It's the classic way, 4 youngsters want to take a short cut but get lost, at an abandoned petrol station they've been warned by a weirdo (Friday the 13th anyone?) to look out for a psycho running in the woods, called Hammer Head. Then we get a lot of blah blah, a bit of wooden performances by some, a prank, and then the butchering get's started. Bryn surely knows his classics. Before we get to meet the 4 victims we see a couple get killed and we see the killer. Than we have our TCM credits. At the end of the movie you better watch until the end credits have ended because we going to see the best part of this turkey. The gore part. From the beginning you could see that this is a no budget flick, for example no extra light. The actors are talking their dialect so I can get it that for foreigners it sometimes will be hard to understand. The editing is okay, they had an eye for continuity. The fun part is of course when the only survivor gets full contact with the killer, he's beaten with a severed limb. By now you have noticed that I wrote severed and gore but that's the problem with this flick. When it comes to the killings that's the worst part. You can see clearly that the hammer never hits the victims. Almost no red stuff is flowing, no gore, and that for the editor of GOREzone. And of course knowing the magazine it's surely a mans magazine but here no nudity is used. The nudity you will have is some cleavage. And it's clear that that girl had some juggs to show but no can do. But again, he surely knows his classics, it's all there but it lacks blood and gore and bouncing balls.
... View MoreThe Summer Of The Massacre obviously had no script resulting in the "actors" looking very stupid while they think up off the cuff dialogue on camera. It definitely has no gore or nudity but it does have incredibly poor camera work, terrible editing and bad sound. This by far the most amateurish officially distributed film I have ever seen, it makes Amateur Porn Star Killer look professional.Under no circumstances rent this if you see it in a video shop, download and watch for free by all means but you'll still be disappointed and probably very angry that this sh1t got released and distributed.

Most of the movies were pretty bad, this was actually better than most of them. Some psycho runs through the bloody English countryside wearing a cheap Halloween mask and stalks and taunts several unsuspecting blokes using his woods as a shortcut. Very basic, very visceral, obviously cheaply made but still somewhat effective on a primitive scare level. Lot of screaming and running through the woods. Not much conversation, plot development, character development etc., just wind up the psycho and have him chase bouncing busty blonds and their idiot boyfriends through the woods. Pretty good chase and fight scenes and those bouncing blonds make this an OK flick.
