GUENOT PHILIPPE

I am not the greatest Jean-Pierre Mocky's films fan. But I perfectly understand that many people like him. His way of filming is recognizable among billions of other features. He has his own trade mark. But this one was boring to me. A total waste of time. I bought it only because Bourvil and Francis Blanche. Only for them. At any moment, I made it in this movie, I couldn't get into this stupid story. In fact, the Mocky's films I prefer are those with a tragic ending, dark, and not genuine comedies, such as this feature. Bourvil was here nearly at his end of life. Actor Michael Lonsdale revealed that, during the shooting, Bourvil went to the beach, got into the sea and swam very far from the shore. So, Lonsdale swam to Bourvil, because he was very worried about him. Only for die hard Mocky's fans.
