Firstly, The Krays Never wore flat caps, 2, They do not look like the Krays, 3 They have not got the swagger of the Krays, 4 The film has pinched scenes from The Kemp brothers film. 5 a very badly written scrip. The same goes for The fall of the Kray . Half the stuff in both films were untrue. I have read all the books and I was a good friend of Charlie Kray. I even spoke to Reg on the phone when he was in Blunderston Prison.Next time you want to do a film get in touch with me. I am an Actor/Director and have been in many films and TV Programs...................

I quite liked the movie.Having watched all the movies regarding the Kray twins i found it an entertaining roller-coaster ride of the lives of the Kray twins on their rise to power and i would place it on a par with Legend and certainly better than the 1990 version. The only black clouds preventing it from getting a higher score were a couple of glaring errors and the fact the the two main characters (meant to be portraying identical twins) don't actually look similar to each other (this is where Legend has the edge with both twins portrayed by the same actor). But apart from that a good movie that is well worth a night in and definitely worth spending ten pounds on the DVD.I look forward to watching the sequel.

Cotton and Leslie do a superb job depicting the charm and charisma of the Krays but if you were looking for a remake of all the other films on the Krays, then this movie is not for you.It centralises on the younger years of Krays as the "rise" part of the title hints and the whole plot revolves around the lesser known attributes of the pair such as Ronnie's mental illness and bisexuality. All other movies neglect to mention the various legitimate businesses and political influence the Krays possessed at the time and how they happened to come by them in favour of violence and bloodshed unlike this one. All in all a very enjoyable film.

coming from someone from hackney, i can state the krays did a lot for charity, as well as kept the streets safe. they also took a lot of people off the streets and gave them homes and jobs. so to of clamed they spent 2.5 million on this is insulting. the guys cant act. everything looks fake, and its very out of touch on how they came across and behaved. they deserved a lot better than this mockery of a film. even rise of the foot soldier looked better than this, and he was just a common chav that every town has. i give it 0 out of 10 for insulting the brothers who cleaned up hackney when no one could before or after. even my nan used to say it was the only time you could ever walk the streets at night without worryed about getting robbed.
