After his best friend is killed by a rival gang Uri, Leader of the The Red Skulls decides to give up gang life before he ends up dead just like his friend. Meanwhile The Red Skulls plan their revenge for the death of a fallen member after Long time Red Skull Lester takes over as leader. After a raid on the rival gangs warehouse The Red Skulls discovered a weird red liquid in jars that when consumed turn the person into blood thirsty murders. Slipped into the gangs booze supplies by one of their own things take a turn for the ultra gory and violent in this entertaining and unique film by the Campbell brothers Andrew and Lucas. The best way I can describe this movie is Troma meets Gangs of new york with a psychobilly twist and just a dash of The warriors for good measure. I really enjoyed this film it's not your average run of the mill horror flick it has a interesting enough story and moves at a good pace. The acting is nothing special but is made up tenfold with the beautiful practical special effects .The Gore in this movie is amazing very graphic and raw specially for a low budget movie. The throat slashes in this movie really blew me away and the pure brutality of the last 30 minutes or so of the movie makes it well worth a watch. This movie won't be for everyone if you find yourself mostly only liking the mainstream horror hits then may be disappointed. But if you enjoy experiencing something different then The Red Skulls may well be a hidden treasure for you just as it was for myself. For you Netflix subscribers The Red Skulls is also currently available via Instaview so if you're in the mood for some good old fashion violence and gore queue The Red Skulls and bask in the showers of crimson that this movie produces. And I should also mention it has a soundtrack that rivals return of the living dead in levels of pure f**king awesome.7/10 - Ritualistic The Liberal Dead http://liberaldead.blogspot.com

As far a campy-zombie-horror-gang movies go,this is high on my list, but how many campy-zombie-horror-gang movies are there?not the best quality movie, but a real fun one if you like your movies bloody, funny, and insane!Creative and a hoot, this picture knocked my socks off! but then again...my favorite movie of all time is "faster pussycat! kill! kill!"get my drift? This film is high on goofy and gore, and for a lot of folks, that alone does not a movie make, and that's OK. If your a Hitchcock kind of person, this is NOT for you, but if you like Raimi on the other hand...

You can sometimes tell how bad a movie is from the first second. The introduction was not needed here to tell us that it was going to be gory. The acting was... where was it. The fight scenes were fake, you could see how hard he wasn't hitting, more like a tap to the face, the kicks had as much force behind them as a feather duster. The film was shaky, the acting lacking, the fight scenes were laughable. There wasn't a highlight at all in this film, not one of the actors displayed the smallest amount of talent. The director had no idea what he was doing, the script should be burnt.A complete waste of time, stay away from this garbage.

Rarely do I find a film that successfully combines low budget and horror to be fully entertaining. Funny, yes. Boring, sometimes. But almost never genuinely entertaining. The Red Skulls accomplished this. Now, I am not claiming it is to be put up next to the next Mission Impossible in quality. Heck not even the Devils Rejects or more aptly The Warriors. BUT for what this film set out to be, an entertaining low budget horror film that goes beyond what most expect out of this genre, it passed with flying colors. The effects are a huge leap forward than many I have seen in other films of this level and especially compared to those of this companies previous works. The technical quality is also a big step forward from what you might expect. The writing is also pretty good. The acting, as is to be expected, does sag as well as soar but overall it's not that bad. Bottom line this film DESERVES attention and at least an initial viewing if not several. If you like low budget horror this is definitely for you. If you like gang movies check this out. And if you like seeing an indie film group truly at work trying to entertain the world watch this film!!!
