There is a revolution going on in science. A genuine paradigm shift. While mainstream science remains materialist, a substantial number of scientists are supporting and developing a paradigm based on the primacy of consciousness. Amit Goswami, Ph.D., a pioneer of this revolutionary new perspective within science, shares with us his vision of the unlimited potential of consciousness as the ground of all being, and how this revelation can actually help us to live better. The Quantum Activist tells the story of a man who challenges us to rethink our very notions of existence and reality, with a force and scope not felt since Einstein. This film bridges the gap between God and Science. The work of Goswami, with stunning precision and without straying from the rigors of quantum mechanics, reveals the overarching unity inherent in the world’s major religions and mystical traditions. Meet the man behind the message…

Some of the concepts take several viewings to fully grasp, and in some cases due to the film maker approaching them poorly or without the correct context.Great food for though movie to get you thinking. It could change your world view, if you are open to it.

I really found this documentary interesting. It seemed a lot less about quantum mechanics and seemed more about causing change to your surroundings through the imposition of will. The documentary asks some interesting concepts, such as "does reality cause thought, or does thought cause reality?" and "where does choice actually come from?" and "what is the real nature of God?" This documentary is more about philosophy than science, but it is ultimately quite interesting.Apparently there is a fascinating concept in quantum mechanics that essentially states that all objects are essentially manifested possibilities of objects. The author then puts forth the idea that force of will and intent can shape the possibilities and turn them into manifestations. Being a Wiccan, I can totally relate to the idea of visualization and imposition of will as tools of making change to one's environment.

This isn't really science at all. It is humorous that a PhD can give a person so much power...when supported by the right people. The biggest problem is...wait for it...GOD! This is philosophy and personal opinion dressed in scientists clothing (so to speak). The fact that someone can make an argument and then destroy it so easily by adding God to the equation should arouse suspicion in even the undergraduate mind. Just because someone uses the word "quantum" doesn't mean they know the be all end all (if there is such a thing and assuming humans could ever comprehend such), no matter how many textbooks, or how many supporters there are of the idea (which I would suggest to all to look up such supporters and the real arguments at hand). Maybe there is something to be said for spirituality in science, but I would venture an INFORMED guess that any "GOD" is not the logical outcome and the idea of spirituality is skewed in a particular direction by Goswami. If you rate this documentary more than a 5 then you essentially abandon any claim of skepticism, scientific understanding (even if just attempted understanding), and pure common sense. if you can skew evidence one way then you can skew it the other...interesting that the "other" rarely makes the definite claims as found here.

It is about a man and how he came to an idea that solves a major paradox of quantum physics. I can see how some would dismiss it because of some of the terms used but in context and with a sharp mind you will find that it fits with modern physics. If you can connect the various terms that different physicists use and imagine the underlying nature of what they are all trying to describe I would say that the man in this documentary adds to that picture using his background as a physics professor and scientist and using the language of his own cultural perspective.I appreciate different perspectives on the same subject and this film has a great idea presented in an interesting fashion with plenty of context and a good explanation. I wouldn't use it as a sole source of information on the subject of physics but then there are no such sources to be found. One simply has to search far and wide according to your own capabilities and ways of thinking.
