When a terrorist group steals the US President's personal communications computer for launching the US arsenal in case of war, only a heroic Major has the key to prevent a Presidential assassination or a nuclear holocaust. The Peacekeeper is one of the better and far more watchable Dolph Lundgren movies plus pretty action packed too of course the movie has it's fair share of flaws both in terms of story and dialogue but it was a fun action packed film plus i was suprised when Rob Schneider (Jaws and Jaws 2) showed up on screen... (6.5/10)

There is one action scene in this movie that almost makes it worth watching. There's a car chase that eventually ends up with cars jumping from roof to roof. It's quite fun action sequence and the best thing about this movie. Maybe it was an inspiration for the Tumbler chase in "Batman begins" ? Still , Christopher Nolan did it better.There are two big problems with this movie. One is the terribly flat direction . There is no excitement or suspense here (the car chase is an exception). The second one is the weak script. The storyline is not very believable. Some dumb moments were mentioned by reviewer pgspat. Seriously the fate of villain in this movie makes no sense .There are some nice concepts here like the ethics of having a nuclear missiles for self defense or the tragic fate of soldiers , but they aren't explored. Too bad. The movie tries to be a political thriller , but fails miserably.What is Roy Scheider ("Jaws") doing here ? I guess he REALLY needed money… He and Montel Williams are OK in this movie . The whole movie in terms of acting quality is better than typical B class movie. Sadly the movie doesn't have an interesting villain.The film has a slightly cheap look about it which is strange considering the quite high budget (10 mln).Sadly a wasted opportunity for fun movie , because of awful direction and bad script. I give "Peacekeeper" 1/10.

This is a great Lundgren film, with a very cool cast and awesome performances all around. It's very exciting and all the characters were awesome, and the finale was excellent, plus Dolph Lundgren is simply amazing in this!. Lundgren and Montel Williams had great chemistry together, and the character development was pretty good, plus Michael Sarrazin is very menacing as the main villain!. It's very well made, and it boasts some extremely awesome car chase sequences, plus the ending is pretty cool!. It's a great Die Hard clone, and the film is exciting throughout, plus i was very impressed by the action sequences!. Dolph seemed to be having fun with his character, and Dolph as always had some really cool one liners, plus Roy Scheider is fantastic as the President!. I usually enjoy any Dolph film, and this one is no different plus, it was just a lot of fun to watch!. This is a great Lundgren film, with a very cool cast and awesome performances all around, i highly recommend this one!. The Direction is very good. Frédéric Forestier does a very good job here, with great camera work, cool angles, great shots during the action scenes, and keeping the film at a very fast pace!. There is a little bit of blood and violence. We get lots of very bloody gunshot wounds,gory wounds and some blood splatter. The Acting is fantastic!. Dolph Lundgren is AMAZING as always, and is amazing here, he is extremely likable, hilarious had great chemistry with Montel Williams, seemed to be having a lot of fun with his character, and was just tons of fun to watch!. (Dolph Rules!).Montel Williams is surprisingly great here, he was pretty funny had great chemistry with Lundgren, and really did a great job i was impressed!. Michael Sarrazin is excellent as the main villain and was very menacing he was cool. Roy Scheider is amazing as always, and was fantastic in his screen time as the President he rocked! (Scheider rules).Monika Schnarre is gorgeous and did good in her scenes Rest of the cast to fine. Overall i highly recommend this one!. ***1/2 out of 5

Major Frank Cross faces a court martial for an act of mercy he showed to Turkish refugees. However the President intervenes and employs him to protect the black bag that contains the missile launch code for the US nuclear weapons. On his first day, Cross is attacked by terrorists and loses the black bag. He follows the terrorists to the silo and teams up with Kt Con Northrop to stop the launch. Meanwhile the President is on-route to meet the demands of the terrorist - however their demands are not ordinary.Oh good - more `terrorists with nukes' plots, throw in a bit of Die Hard and we're away. The story here is really daft and has major plot drivers that aren't explained. It's not a bad plot overall - in fact the demands and the motives of the terrorists are quite clever and interesting. However it is a Dolph Lungren film so it's not going to be that great…..The action scenes are OK but rarely believable, eg a rooftop car chase is fun but stupid! The terrorist's main demand brings the greatest tension, but their motives make them seem too sympathetic and when they become ruthless it is harder to accept. Outside of this `demand' I thought it was mostly poor, most of the plot seemed to exist to create action scenes that didn't deliver.Lungren is as good as ever - ie, mediocre. He does his strong man stuff well, but he lacks charisma and relateability. Scheider is OK as the President and plays out his dilemma well - however the script lets him off too lightly. Chat show host Montel is actually OK as Northrop, but I just couldn't forget that it was Montel!Overall this is bland video entertainment - it's not terrible, but it's not good either.
