Following the events of the first film, Surly and his friends must stop Oakton City's mayor from destroying their home to make way for a dysfunctional amusement park. The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature was such a huge blast for me to be honest and i really did not get the hate it received. The new characters were also very good especially Jackie Chan's role was just terrific and perhaps the best part of the film too. The jokes were very good and the animation once again brilliant. Just get your kids to the dvd store and they will love it in the end. (A+)

I'll be damned, this is a total jawdropper. It's like a love child of Madagascar 3 and Zootopia. And, boy, does it make its parents eat their shorts. The Nut Job 2 has everything in fine proportions: quality animation, breathtaking action, various kinds of humor with tons of quipping, total adequacy and self-awareness, cynicism and, of course, the moral center. This is what modern animations sorely lack. They are either way too pretentious or are just in your face. And that's even including some original pictures, like Shrek or Madagascar. The Nut Job 2 doesn't have these weaknesses, while it properly inherits the action and the ability to make a valid point. The closest animation I can compare to - is the first animation I've given 10\10 rating, How to Train Your Dragon(the original). It also had the animation, the moral and proper pacing. Now, of course, I can't exactly compare these two. HTTYD had some of the best scores in animation history, and there are plenty of classics that also deserve 10\10. I'm usually nitpicky, but for this movie I just want to make an exception. It could be 8\10, it should be 9\10, but, for the sake of the quality of IMDb content and the modern critic reviews in general, I'd dare say this is a 10\10 material. With all the B-rated animation we've been getting recently, from the biggest studios, no less, this picture stands as a shining example of a sequel that manages to do better than the original. And this is something worth looking out for.I know this is supposed to be spoiler-free, but I can't believe this is the one animation that actually dared to take a hit at Disney's atrocious singing(well, at least in the modern animations). And this movie actually had Jackie Chan acting for once, after THREE Kung-Fu Panda flops! While the rest of the American industry tries to pander to the Chinese in every way possible, The Nut Job 2 actually does it in a hilarious and quite respectful manner. I'd say that this part was borrowed from The Life of Pets, but... The execution was just heaven and earth. You don't see gangsta bunnies turning to toilet humor here.I hope that this "indie marvel" will get a third part. That's really going to be hard to top this one off, but if they get a proper score, something close to HTTYD, while retaining the same approach of direction - it will be the movie for the books.

I thought the second one was going to be worse than the first one. But when I saw it in theaters, I was shocked. I was surprisingly impressed! The second one is 100% better than the first one. The directors did a lot of improvement on the second one, the animation is great, characters are likable, story is better and it was entertaining. I think this movie is worth to watch and people should forget about the first one. This might be the first time that the sequel is better than the first movie. I did a movie review on The Nut Job 2 on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8Fdl_pi2_E) I am proud of the directors for making the second one better, the animators did a great job with the animation and I can't wait for a third one. Families should go see this movie, trust me, you will enjoy it.

'The Nut Job 2: Nutty By Nature''The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature' is a 2017 computer animated film produced by Open Road Films, creators of 'Justin Bieber's Believe.''The Nut Job 2' is a bad film, but not the kind of bad that you can enjoy. Rather, it's a film that robs any enthusiasm, hope, or light inside of you and destroys it. It's not clever, or fun, or in anyway bears a semblance of enjoyment. It is cold upon delivery, and until its conclusion you, the ignorant viewer, are forced to witness its ramblings. The plot itself is not grounded, or devoted to making a point, or even interested in carrying some sort of purpose. It just ...is. Surly Squirrel and his pack of forest critters are living off the fruition of an abandoned nut shop for several years now. However, in the process many have lost their primal instincts. This, in itself, is an interesting idea. For a children's film produced by a mediocre studio, it is, dare I say it, an innovative and important concept. However, because subtlety appears to be gone nowadays, we meet our villain, a fellow called Mayor Muldoon, your typical onenote kid's bad guy; a rich, fat, bald male with a bratty redhead daughter. Muldoon wants to tear down the park and in its place install a local amusement park. The animals now must protect their beloved park, while also transitioning back to their original instincts due to the recent destruction of their Nut Shop. In one scene, Surly takes on an impending bulldozer by biting an unidentified wire, which inexplicably launches the dozer into the air and flips it around a bit. I could explain, or rather, an 8 year old could explain, why the essential laws of gravity would disprove this scene. But do I really want to? It's the 'Nut Job' sequel. You know what you're getting into. Here are some actual lines of dialogue actually uttered in 'The Nut Job 2.'"They threw our potty in the river.""More like Dustalicios!" "We're all gonna die!" (Mouse says it about 12 times whenever something negative happens)"I'm Frankie, you're Precious! That makes us Frecious!""So many mailboxes!" (Surly crashes into mailbox a grand total of 5 times)The only line I laughed at in this entire film was when someone said, "It's funny how quickly rock bottom sneaks up on you." Not because of the character's situation, just because I really identified with that. 1/1010% (Rotten)F-
