The story of Petr Ginz is one that must not be forgotten. This film brings this exceptional story to a modern generation--beautifully told and well crafted. The film makers do a remarkable job of bringing Petr's world alive through the use of his own words, drawings and paintings. Animation is used to help viewers understand the power and beauty of the world of imagination that Petr created to escape from the horrendous circumstances of the real world in which he lived. The film and the story it tells, while at times heartbreaking, ultimately leaves the viewer with hope--the hope that Petr saw in the everyday things around him, from the simple beauty of blooming flowers to the majesty of the stars.
