Ditto everything Jay said! I too have been searching for this movie for many years. When I originally saw The Great O' Grady (around 15 years ago), I could not truly believe what I was watching. Had the T.V. gods actually answered my prayers? Did someone actually write, direct and produce this movie, and then hire Keith Coogan to star in it? It was all too good to be true. I could not wait to tell my best friend about it the next day. I wished so bad he had been with me to witness such a ridiculous yet amazing work of cinema. Ever since, he has been convinced I had some sort of lucid dream, and this movie could not possibly exist. Today my long search is over, and I stand vindicated. I have wasted countless hours watching stupid crap on T.V., and a movie like this is what has made it all worthwhile. After some additional internet research, I am thrilled to discover that The Great O' Grady can be purchased as part of a Cinema Collection of four short films (and for only $6.99)! http://www.sanity.com.au/product/product.asp?sku=2001214

I remember seeing this show one day after school as a child! I never knew of it's name until now. It is one of the most bizarre shows I've ever seen. I could never figure out whether it was meant as a comedy, documentary, or a drama. It's basically about the world distance spitting champion and his protégé who both fall for this girl. Of course the champ gets the girl until tragedy strikes and the tides turn. But that's where it gets kinda funny. The whole subject is weird. The plot takes a turn for the worst, and the champ takes a remarkable hilarious down ward spiral, climaxing in one the weirdest things I've ever seen on television. But you'll have to see for yourself to truly appreciate the event. I mean seriously, the world-spitting champion? Just absolutely bizarre! I've been looking for a copy of this for years, so if anyone knows how I can find it, I'd be forever in debt-ed! This definitely is a must see for any one who finds humor in sad tragic events! -Jay
