This is one of the best movies that I saw in my life.Maybe the best. If Hitchcock was alive I would tell him to go see this movie so that he could learn from it. The author of this sublime masterpiece will leave his mark with this piece of art. This is a masterpiece. It is full of innovative ideas and you never know what will happen next. It will keep you on the edge of your seat. Very creepy. I would say two thumbs up but two is not enough. Can I lift my two big toes and say four thumbs up ? I would compare this to "The Sixth Sense" but in "The Fugue" the actors are a little bit more convincing. I predict that this movie will have on the Horror genre the same impact "Alien" or "Blade Runner" has on Sci-fi genre. Go see "The Fugue"(this is so scary, just writing the word "fugue" gives me goosebumps). This movie is so full of chocking images that I don't know if it is safe for everybody to go see it. I remember that people used to faint at the premiere of "The Exorcist" in 1973 (yes I am that old)and I think that this movie could have the same effect on fragile people. I wouldn't be surprised if in two or three years from now there is a cult devoted to this movie. I can easily imagine the same kind of cult surrounding "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" for this movie. Go see it quick !

Wow, the three people that have positive comments to say about this film have no other film comments to their names and seem to have signed up only for this one.....Hmmmm. Next time try harder to shill your film by posting a few reviews, that way you'll seem legitimate instead of the plants that you guys obviously are."The Fugue" is an amateurish backyard non fright-fest that apparently was written by a mentally handicapped high schooler after watching a few too many Asian ghost films while huffing fumes from a gas cylinder. Much of it is predictable and dull, the by the numbers plot meanders along while the grating non performances and listless visuals help the viewer to nod off no doubt dreaming of watching a better film. I like and appreciate no budget films with style, creativity, originality, and effort, this isn't one of them. See "The Death Of A Ghost Hunter" if you want a good no budget supernatural themed film.

I love suspense and horror films...and have given fair chances to many films out there which were given very poor reviews in the past.....I try to find something that was positive to write about after watching a film. But after watching "The Fugue" I could not put my finger on one thing that was anywhere near positive! The acting was horrible, the direction was pathetic, and the story was so badly written a high school student could have done a better job! It has also been a very long time since I have seen special effects so bad that they were laughable! I gave this movie every chance to find something good to write about but I can honestly say that this has to be one of the worst movies I have ever seen...

Fast paced film that keeps the audience intensely involved. For those familiar with Washington, DC, the shots provide glimpses of recognizable landmarks as well as the hidden, dark quarters of DC apartment living. The cinematography is magnificent and is interesting visually. Because of the musical background and intriguing camera angles, the suspense can be overwhelming. Actually, the musical selections were great choices that enhance the film's scary momentum. In addition, for those fans of special effects, this movie has several quirky unforgettable moments. You will find yourself on the edge of your seat, peeking out of the corners of your fingers and becoming a cheerleader for the vulnerable characters. Bravo to the director who made terrific cast choices.
