We all know they are a lot of movies about world war II, but luckily this approach it's not much exploted yet, so it's not the common storyline that we're used to it. The movie it's interesting from the beginning to its end with very good performances.

This movie started OK but the story underperformed in the end. And with a bellow average story this was far from a memorable movie. The acting was good enough from the actors. In this mediocre movie Christopher Plummer's acting was one of the good things this production had. I also liked the acting of Jai Courtney. But this didn't gave the actors enough to work with in the first place. There were a lot of very predictable and silly things going on in the story. Those were annoying to watch. For example the last escape was ridiculous. The girl was a spy. What a BIG surprise!! The character development of the Jai wasn't complete. They could've shown more.I was not impressed with this one. Not recommended.

The very few minutes of this movie and i was like NOPE i cant stand British accent playing Germans or for that matter anyone else besides a German. How are you going to have a Brit or a Jew play a Nazi? It just looks ridiculous and unwatchable. At least directors like Q.Tarantino make the effort, wouldn't waste my time on this.

After the invasion of Belgium, Captain Brandt (Jai Courtney) is assigned to protect The Kaiser in exile in Belgium. While he is there he is informed there is a British spy who we know is working as the maid (Lily James.) The story develops slowly adding small layers of complexity. The film attempts to revive the idea of "the good German" and not all soldiers on "their" side is bad. Brandt believe the SS who gunned down innocent people were the exception to the norm. He doesn't have the belly for it. The movie was more drama than a war film.Guide: Sex and nudity (Jai Courtney, Lily James)
