One minor spolier, but certainly nothing to dull your enjoyment of this film.As the trailer and plot intro suggest, the concept is decent enough, the technology is plausible and the premise is sound, if a rather corny in a hackneyed, Hunger Games sort of way.No surprises there. It is exactly as they say.The characters check most of the boxes in the mandatory Unitest States Liberal PC diversity checklist... But it was hard to empathise with them since themselves are effectively roleplaying their gamer alter egos. It is only in the last half that we learn anything about them. Here is the one minor spoiler, though it is pretty obviously only a few minutes away.As usual, the black man, the only true dies first, protecting his whities and proving to all that this is more than a game.Sigh..The ending is nothing special and unfortunately seems to be bolted on.This film had the potential to be interesting in a TRON sort of way, but fell short and is not worth a more in depth review or analysis.Best watched with beer.

Never leave reviews but had to after watching this. I very much enjoyed the story line, effects, and acting. This movie is seriously underrated. Morfydd Clark is an actress I'd never heard of and found her both gorgeous and entertaining. I'd like to see more of her work. Definitely worth relaxing and watching.

For those of you who couldn't get enough of "Gamer" or "Stay Alive" we have this modest production. A group of the world's top gamers who happen to be loners are offered a $100,000 prize to compete. They don special suits. They enter a 3D graphic world where they find weapons and must work their way down through 25 levels to get to the basement battling armed terrorists. When you die in cyberspace, the suit kills you. Attempts to escape or circumnavigate the rules are severely punished. It was a good concept and the plot elements and scenery was decent. The characters were diverse but not entertaining. Where was that one character we hated to see die? We need to get attached to the characters before they start to slaughter them. And plot spoiler, the black guy dies first, like in every cliché American horror film. How much would it have cost to have Jim Parsons to do a cameo as the game designer or the computer voice? Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

I thought this film was very entertaining and well done for a low- budget production. The visual effects were really good and I enjoyed the realization of the VR.The plot of the movie is very interesting, especially in a time where there is a lot of controversy about Gamers and how their consume affects their willingness to actually perform violent acts. **SPOILER** After the Gamers realize that they can actually get killed and kill each other, they are mostly not willing to do it. ** SPOILER END**As the main part of the movie was a bit predictable (not more than any big production though) the ending actually really shocked and surprised me.So I would advice anyone who is interested in gaming or in an entertaining movie to watch the call up, definitely worth it!
