This flick explains the quick decay of Italian cinema in the Eighties. It's a very piece of s**t.You see this blond asshole going around to be trapped,double-crossed,back-stabbed,and being each time saved by his mute Chinese sidekick, the only decent character on this flick. It's better remember O'Keefe for his roles on Double Target and La Morte è di Moda, not for this insulting movie. Lack of sense, budget, ideas, action that made this movie shameful and buried at the birth the Italian sword-and-sorcery genre.Burn to Hell Joe D'Amato. Talk about the non-plot is only painful. If you love REAL and GREAT Conan clones, switch to Conquest,Throne of Fire,The Barbarians,Deathstalker II (with the beloved and desired broad Monique Gabrielle),and Sangraal La Spada di Fuoco, that offer action, breasts, decent special effects and coherent plots! SCREW this one for God's sake!

Rather than numb your mind trying to watch this half-formed tripe, rent the "Mystery Science Theater 3000" episode where they make fun of it. The plot, if there really was one, involved a warrior trying to free his teacher from a bad guy. That could have made something good, but "The Cavedwellers" is beyond god-awful. If this movie had only one redeeming quality, it's that it was hilarious fodder for "MST3K". Overall, the movie had nothing new or creative, just a bunch of buff good guys fighting ugly bad guys. The fact that someone actually put up the money for this makes us question some peoples' judgment.Absolutely dreadful.

This is quite possibly the strangest, and stupidest pieces of film I have seen. I never thought I would see handrails and hand-gliders in a movie supposed to be set around the dark ages. There are strange costumes, bad acting, I lead character who is the poor-man's Conan. The only way this movie is watchable, is being viewed by Joel and the 'bots on MST3K. This movie provided Joel, Crow, and Servo with some good ammunition. If you have nothing else to do, and you're are willing to sit through a horrible foreign film. Give Cave Dwellers a try.

The Ator series is a shining example of what B-movies should be. They fail in every aspect, but in such a hilarious way that they are funny rather than sad. "Ator l'invincibile 2" aka "The Blade Master" aka "Cave Dwellers" shows us Europe's favorite Conan clone, Ator where we left him in the first movie- after showing us a lengthy recap of all the events of the first film. This time the world must be saved from "The Nucleus", a kind of bomb, represented on screen as a bright light (I guess they couldn't afford a prop). This one features invisible attackers and samurai. As with the first film, lots of stock footage is used (including one rather obvious bit from "Star Wars"). Thoroughly laughable and unforgettably bad- this is an exception B-movie.
