It's hard to say what I hated most about this movie, and most of these reviewers have said it better than I could. But I feel the need to say it again: I felt cheated. The first few scenes made me believe that this was going to be darkly amusing film told from the overwrought point of view of a very stupid kid. The monologues were annoying as hell, but I assumed they were supposed to be.As it turned out, the writers just didn't know how to tell a story (and the actors didn't give them a lot of help either--I'm talking to you, Alexa "You hurt her!" Vega) I knew something was off after the kids watched the murder and they were STILL talking like assholes. I realized that the writers were actually taking these characters seriously. And I thought, really? Are movies this bad even legal? Note: This is not a Pink Flamingos-style bad movie. Content is too disturbing--you'll be too outraged to laugh.

This film was brilliant, as dark and brutal as they get. The plot on the surface may be fantastical at parts but regardless of its extremities i found realistic depth in the characters very individual stories, showing the harsh truth behind every day lives.I think the films current rating is an absolute insult. If you like dark, interesting films you will love this. The people rating this thought they were watching a teen flick obviously. But if your the kind of person who would like this film, you don't pay attention to critic ratings anyway. Im glad i watched this film alone as i wouldn't feel comfortable watching it with someone else. I suggest others do the same.

My guess is that any of the good reviews for this heaping pile of manure (basking in the hot summer sun)were made by teenagers. Let it be known that while I am not a teenager, I'm not too far off. This movie started out with 45 minutes of what seemed to be some pretty interesting narratives. If you can ignore that for some odd reason most of the voices were over-dubbed (terribly), then you would find some interesting takes on life & death. After that you get very very tired of listening to these people, and then after that a little black girl gets raped (on camera), and then a school gets shot up. Call me ignorant, call me whatever you want, but this movie ended with nothing said, and nothing gained, except for maybe an upset stomach.Well acted, poorly scripted, poorly edited, poorly directed. The actors did a decent job in a movie that made absolutely no sense whatsoever. Thanks for a disgusting waste of my precious time.

I got to see this movie in the Asheville Film Festival, towards the end of 2004. The description grabbed me, guy takes a camera to school to film his last days leading up to his suicide.... What I witnessed was simply extraordinary.... I personally believe, every parent should be forced to watch this movie, because it breaks down the issues of Child Suicide and the mentality that goes along with it, and what it can cause. Being not too far removed from my teenage years, I understood things like the Columbine Masacre and other such child tragedies. This movie finally brought that into the spotlight, and if you really watched this movie, you will get a glimpse at the mind set. It ends with the perfect political statement. "I hope this wakes you up, because if this doesn't, then something else, far worse will happen that will...." My only regret, a woman got up beside me after the movie was over and said, "Well, now to try to get THAT out of my head." I should have stopped her and said, "No, don't force this from your head, because if you do, you'll be forced to relive it...we all will...." All that said, I'm almost positive that the movie will never be picked up and distributed. It is controversial on a whole nother realm, because it will make everyone see what they themselves turn a blind eye to.... And if there is one thing American's can't stand, is seeing the truth of what is in front of them....
