Hey what if you throw From Dust Till Dawn and Beauty and the Beast to a blender then add a little bit Twilight into the mix you will have this movie.SiREN is a feature-length adaptation of Amateur Night a horror segment from V/H/S back in 2012 directed by Gregg Bishop.First i say this movie is very different from the source material so if you already watch the original you will still find this movie fresh and new.The plot follow a group of guys on their way to celebrate a bachelor party for a friend but their fate soon end up into a wrong direction when they decided to follow a strange guy to a secret midnight club that promise to give a best night of their live. The club soon turn into a living hell hole when the main characters Jonah accidentally free a demonic creature take form of a woman so now she kinda fond of him and want to mate with him now.Beside the horrible acting and clichés characters development this movie actually has balls to did many thing that help it far more interesting and memorable than most of B horror movie nowadays when the shock value of this movie really high with one of the most amazing and craziest sex scene i ever see in a horror movie. The make-up effect of the creature is top-notch when it not only scary but also very sexy if you have fetish with monster girl :).The only problem for me is when it about to show a very gory violence scene they usually shot it in a very uncomfortable way that take me out of the movie sometime.Overall it a good watch and i highly recommend it for horror lovers
... View MoreIt is a really average horror movie. The only interesting thing was the original idea, which I already knew because I've seen the 2012 V/H/S segment called Amateur Night which had the same plot, only way shorter. The extra stuff doesn't really add anything worthwhile, only steals ideas from From Duck Till Dawn, so in my opinion it failed as a movie. However, I must rate it as a standalone and as such it is rather typical. The only notable thing in this film is huge eyed Hannah Rose Fierman, a beautiful girl who most likely will have a fruitful career in horror and alien movies.
... View Morei thought it was going to be another b minus movie until i watched it. I was really surprised at how entertaining it was. I can't wait for the next part seeing that the Lily female flew away with the lead male. the Lily female was very sexy even though she is a creature, the movie showed us she has a very nice butt too! The story was OK but i think with a better writer this could turn into a very nice trilogy, the next installment could make or break the chance of getting to a third movie.I have a very different taste when it comes to movies so i don't expect people to see the same things as i do so with that being said i really hope they make a second installment because the story is not finished!
... View More'SIREN': Four and a Half Stars (Out of Five) A feature adaptation of a short film segment (called 'AMATEUR NIGHT') from the 2012 anthology horror flick 'V/H/S'. It was directed by Gregg Bishop, who also directed a short segment of the 2014 sequel 'V/H/S VIRAL' (called 'DANTE THE GREAT'). The film was scripted by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski (based on the short by David Bruckner and Nicholas Tecosky). It stars Chase Williamson (of 'JOHN DIES AT THE END' fame), Hannah Fierman (who also starred in the original short), Justin Welborn, Hayes Mercure, Michael Aaron Milligan and Randy McDowell. It tells the story of a group of guys out for a bachelor party, which goes horrifically wrong when one of them unleashes a man killing monster. The film is a lot of fun, and it's definitely in the same league as 'V/H/S' and it's sequels. Jonah (Williamson) is about to be married to his beautiful fiancé Eva (Lindsey Garrett). His brother (Milligan), and his two best friends (Mercure and McDowell), take him out for a good time before the big event. The strip clubs they go to are boring though, so they decide to check out a lesser known club; that another customer tells them about. Once there they realize the place is a lot different than anywhere else they've ever been to. When Jonah meets one of the girls, supposedly working there, he decides she needs his help and tries to rescue her. This turns out to be a deadly mistake. The movie has a great premise (taken from 'AMATEUR NIGHT' of course); it's well made and effectively creepy also. I think Bishop did a fantastic job stretching the short into a feature length film, and the cast is equally as impressive. Especially Williamson and Fierman in the leads, but Welborn makes a great bad guy too. There's even some touching romance to the story, in a very bizarre and creepy way, with a great horrific twist at the end. I really like this movie.
