Okay, I definitely agree that this movie was sort of disturbing in nature, mainly due to the fact that most of the cast/victims were so young. However, the twisted mind of the main character was the only reason I was even able to finish this movie in the first place. I was intrigued to see just how far she would go with her sadistic behavior...and she did go pretty far. That being said, I am giving this movie a low rating because I could not get over how terrible the acting was. Specifically the main character, played by Leslie Andrews. It made the movie so off-putting for me. It was like watching a non-confident 14 year old perform in their first play at school. I will never say that a movie is not worth my time, but I would not recommend this one.

Seriously messed-up young gal Izzy (a remarkably brave, fearless, and convincing performance by Leslie Andrews) isn't having an easy time of it: Both her parents are dead, her older brother Rusty is overseas fighting in Iraq, and she has to raise her younger brother Kevin (a sympathetic portrayal by Charlie Trepany) all by herself. Moreover, Izzy blows off steam not only by killing various people, but also by torturing several folks she has tied up in the barn right next to her house. After catching three bullies picking on Kevin in school, Izzy blows a gasket and embarks on a vicious rampage. Writer/director Eben McGarr certainly doesn't pull any punches with this extremely dark and disturbing portrait of one incredibly troubled, unstable, and dangerous female psycho: The no-holds-barred nasty and warped tone, plentiful graphic and unflinching gore (the scene with Izzy calmly cutting one poor guy's penis off is downright painful to watch), startling moments of shockingly sadistic violence, an inventively harsh rape set piece, and the nihilistic bummer ending all pack a savagely potent punch. Moreover, McGarr grounds the story and characters in a plausible workaday reality as well ass further spices things up with a wickedly funny sense of pitch-black gallows humor. John McGarr contributes an engaging turn as friendly and helpful neighbor Barney. Stephen Geoffreys (Evil Ed in "Fright Night") pops up in a neat small part as amiable elementary school teacher Mr. Putski. The rough cinematography by C.J. Roy and John Carreon gives the picture a gnarly bleached-out look. John Francis Conway's shivery score does the flesh-crawling trick. A totally twisted flick that supplies one hell of a deranged kick.

Oh, Sick Girl. How sick you are. Ya got your kicks peeing on nuns, lopping off weiners, and kissing your brother. You actually sound like a pretty cool chick, it's such a shame you're monotone and you have a dumpy butt.2007's Sick Girl, created by all around blowhard Eben Whatshisname, focuses on the small-town life of a girl named Izzy, who is forced to become head of her household when her brother ships off to the Marines. Things sour from there on out, and Izzy's already shaky disposition crumbles into a pile of constant premenstrual insanity. No one's safe anymore; not her flamboyant younger brother, nor their bike-riding bear of a neighbor. The blood flows, children die, and rats are fed and returned to the gay guy who did porn after being in Fright Night. You know the guy.I'd like to say Sick Girl is a good time, but then again, I'd like to say I enjoy popping pimples along the under-carriage of my fanny. A little juicy, kinda painful, and totally unnecessary. This movie fails for a few reasons, namely its weak script and dodgy direction. If you enjoy drawn-out scenes of inept dialogue and really pointless scenes of gore, including a controversial moment where a severed member is forced onto a make-shift dildo, the less discriminating horror-hound may actually enjoy this sh!t show.So throw on a wife-beater or two, break out the Christmas lights, and don't say I didn't warn ya. Sick Girl sucks.

Heard all the yap about how 'sick' and 'disturbing' this film is, so of course I had to see for myself. Oftentimes I'm utterly disappointed when I finally get around to watching these 'extreme' films-and every now and then I'm impressed. Though not a great film-SICK GIRL is definitely closer to the latter with me. The story revolves around a young woman named Izzy, and her little brother. Their parents died (no mention in the film as to how...), and their older brother (who Izzy has an unhealthy fixation on...) is serving overseas in the Marines, leaving Izzy alone to raise the pre-teen brother, with a little help from a friendly neighbor. Izzy is obviously a bit (understatement) off mentally, and it's made very apparent that she has some major anger-issues, especially towards a guy that tried to pick her up hitch-hiking, a nun, a catholic school-girl, her older brother's girlfriend, and a group of kids who bully the younger brother. The 'action' of the film revolves mainly around Izzy's revenge on those that f! cked with her and her family...First off, from a technical standpoint-SICK GIRL is not a great film. It's obviously low- budget, the acting is hit or miss at times, the actress who plays Izzy has an annoying voice (though despite this I still liked her in the role...), and there's some audio issues at times where I couldn't  make out the dialog real well. That said-I feel that the film succeeds as a low-budget indie 'shock'-film. The storyline is decent and the characters are developed enough that you have some sympathy for them. I usually can't stand child actors but I think the younger brother did a decent job. The friendly biker/neighbor did a decent job as well. And voice issue aside, I liked the lead actress. She did a solid enough job throughout most of the film as being a believable sociopath. I also found that the semi-twist end-scene made the case for Izzy being a psycho a bit stronger. The often mentioned 'disturbing' scenes are decent enough. The FX are obviously cheap, but the gags are effective enough if not anything ground-breaking. I doubt anyone who has watched a lot of 'extreme' cinema will find anything in this film all that 'shocking'-but I will admit that there's one particular scene that I can't say I've seen in a film before. Overall, a solid film if you aren't terribly hung-up on film-making technicalities-and I'm pretty sure that most fans of low-budget 'shockers' will be entertained. It's probably too 'rough' (both in terms of content and from a technical standpoint) for the casual horror-viewer. 7.5/10 (loses half a point for lack of nudity-a film like this needs some...)
