What a waste of film. Why each copy of this didn't spontaneously combust will forever be a mystery to me. There aren't accurate words to describe how poorly acted and directed this piece of garbage is. Unless you're a pubescent boy looking for some cheap thrills, there is absolutely no reason to watch this. When I saw that it "won" ten awards I was aghast. Who, or what, could possibly vote for this? Then I read what organization presented these "awards." They are quite appropriate. Do yourself a favor, don't even be tempted to watch this dreck, even if only for curiosity's sake. And if you DO come across a copy of this, would you please destroy it? A grateful world thanks you.

But the characters, the tension, the portrayal of this hard competition and ruthless ambition and whatever you can say, I don't want to name anything actually, good writing, very good writing, good dialogues, good points, morality, conflict, dilemma, life as it is, evil; but very humane, show business as it is, all the hardship, toil, and competition, the soul of it, the core of it, of being human, if you can see though, the passion and everything, you can feel it, the ambition, the thirst, the meanness, what can I say, lot to see, and ponder, life as it is and some grandeur, goddess...

... View MoreI don't mind a movie tackling stripping, stripping is a pretty big deal in the U.S., it shouldn't be labeled as not worthy of adaptation. BUT, Showgirls is the most empty, cheesy, shallow and cliché movie I ever got to witness. And that statement has a strong meaning. The dialogue is awful, the acting is unbearable, the actors end up forcing you to hate them, their facial expressions infuriated me because these actors have absolutely no respect for seriousness, that is required in a big budget movie. Then, the sex, where is it ? I didn't see any. All there is, a is a clip of a sex scene in a pool where the girl's back hits the water which has to be the most laughable sex scene of all time. No, if you're thinking you're getting a highly-exciting nude content, you'll be disappointed. These actors don't even try to make an effort.
