Close to the best, if not The Best film I have ever seen. With a grounded realistic story and honest emotional themes this movie will make you cry from sadness and hope. It will make you laugh at the joys and naivety of life as well as force the viewer to pause and think about the ways they effect others and how others effect them. The flawless acting from not only the main characters, but supporting actors and actresses will leave you forgeting that what you see and hear is scripted. Bravo Short Term 12!

Probably my favorite story about heartbreak, overcoming obstacles, and the patience to understand life's ups and downs. And Brie was amazing.

This movie clings in the "Best Picture Of The Year" list! The only reason that it's not is simply because if it won, it would turn the movie industry upside down. Imagine: A low budget movie with a great story and fantastic acting. No Way! Watch and enjoy this for the long Term!

An incredible look at the gritty life of a carer for underprivileged kids and what challenges they and the children of Short Term 12 face on a day by day basis. I really admired Brie Larson's performance as a carer who was also once in those kids shoes, a product of rape and incest she struggles to keep it together and find her own clarity as well as trying her best for those in need. A lot of this film is dealing with how life's struggles can really pile up and how its never a good thing to keep feelings and thoughts bottled up, Thus this film delivers a valuable life lesson along the way. Although I believe I have seen a very similar film I still feel that Short Term 12 is original, unique and not afraid to look at the harsh realities of life as a care worker and that's why I loved this film and it makes a great addition to the collection.
