This is a shameful, fictional account of the end of times according to Christian theology and there is nothing "simple" or "unbiased" about this film. Rather than debate the argument fairly, the focus was clearly more concerned with epic and emotionally toned music, narration, and effects as opposed to offering a range of perspectives based on all of the facts for the viewer to decide. The facts used as support to the film were manipulatively reported to be misleading, edited simply to support the obvious intention of the director and/or his producers. The main speakers of the film were theologians and authors of Christian fiction. I could not even make it to the end but up to halfway through the film there was no counter argument offered. This film is fear mongering, trash-propaganda.Since the beginning of recorded history we have had apocalyptic disasters of far greater proportion than anything we are in immediate danger from in our foreseeable future. Because our population is growing exponentially, no doubt there will be many more on even more grand a scale. One other thing however will always be true: Religious zealots and politicians alike, use these opportunities to extend or exert control of autocratic bodies all over the world since day one. It is quit easy to find unbiased information on these topics, oldest tricks in the book and they still work today...Wise up already.
... View MoreI enjoyed this documentary I have just viewed on the History Channel during Dooms Day Sunday. The Title Seven Signs is obvious Biblical prophecies and Revelations will be part of the documentary, but what makes this documentary interesting is the date of it's release and the sign of the Pale Horse they get into detail about. The date of production and release could not have predicted the outcome of 2009.Those who are to afraid to accept future predictions, the present day events and the book of Revelations of the inevitable shouldn't watch this, but those who can take the fear for what it is, will be glued to your t.v. hanging on every word and find yourself at Google finding your own answers.I think this is something that every person should watch and prepare for, the end will come, it's just a matter of when and what you will do when it happens
... View MoreWorst movie I ever saw.Ever.Make believe theories suddenly become "facts". Same "facts" suddenly become solid evidence of imminent Armageddon. It WILL happen. It is just a matter of time. World will be destroyed. Not once. Many times over, just to make sure that all filthy atheists get what they got coming! Serves them right!Interesting fact revealed in this cinematic masterpiece: "In third world countries so many people live on only one square meter"?Some movie makers really see their audience as complete morons. Surely there must be better ways to promote sick ideas of, obedience, blind fate and fear than this sort of garbage?
... View MoreI entered this film hoping for a new angle on the destruction of the planet and all I got was a Biblical interpretation of the end of life as we know it. I don't mind the Biblical references, but when that's all I see, then I feel hoodwinked. Just another attempt to rope everyone in (with special effects) to the prophecies of the Bible. I'm not a religious person, but I am very open to ideas, but this visual aberration is insulting. What puzzles me is how religious zealots can use current tragedies as examples, completely forgetting similar examples like the Spanish Flu from nearly a hundred years ago, as possible examples of the end of times. It's like 9/11 is the epitome of terrorist acts when there have been so many more in the past. This is garbage and should not be taken as anything more than propaganda.
