Summary (no spoilers)The events in this movie happen after the first one named Sarkar. This movie introduces Anita Rajan, CEO of a big power plant company; she brings a power plant proposal to build in Maharashtra at first she is sent off by Sarkar later knowing the good benefits of this project to the people Shankar convinces Sarkar to help them built it. So soon as usual some are going to be against it and the movie unfolds. My Review (no spoilers)The plot of this movie was better than the first one. It was the perfect blend of action, crime and drama. I just enjoyed the music "Govinda" which keeps ringing in the background. Everyone did a wonderful job of acting in this movie except for Sayaji Shinde he does overacting I think he should stick to telugu movies as his overacting works out there. Amitabh ji and Ash did a really awesome job. The twists and turns towards the end of the movie were good and unpredictable. My RecommendationYes I liked this movie am sure you would too.My Rating9/10

What was RGV thinking when he released this movie? ...And what were the Bachchans thinking when they signed up for this piece of s**t? There are many things I hated about this movie...1. Where was the story? Why do these directors and writers take us for fools? Why would they sell us s**t wrapped in chocolate wrappers? You can't just put in smart one-liners in between the background music and serve it as a story. The Ekta Kapoor serials my mom watches are better.2. What's with the weird camera angles? ...If you have seen RGV's Raat, Bhoot or Kaun, you will know his penchant for using tilted and weird camera angles. But he is so over-done it in this movie that it begins to give you a head-ache after or a while... He's used it all over and in scenes where it doesn't make sense to use it.Ramu, If you are reading this...Please understand that when the Korean directors use it in their horror movies, it is for a particular impact and not because they don't know how to hold their camera straight.3. Why did the movie have to end the way it did? The ending was like an episode of CID where Sivaji Satham would tell the who dunnit story. When RGV stoops to Abbas Mastan's level, you know that the fate of Bollywood is downhill and it desperately needs new-age directors and writers with fresh, original and interesting scripts.4. What a waste of time... If you want to watch a movie on underworld, go watch Satya or Company. Even RGV's Jungle was better. His proteges like Vishram Sawant, Sriram Raghavan and E. Niwas have made way better movies than his current lot of over-ambitious flops.Go watch Vishram Sawant's Risk or Sriram's Ek Hasina Thi for a paisa wasool experience... Or better still, give up on Bollywood movies for a while.

A huge sea of expectations was on high tides before the release of "Sarkar Raj" and many RGV fans were sure of a grand comeback by the master film-maker. But I had my doubts with me as I entered the cinema.Sometimes a period of lazy creativeness is seen in the works of the masters. I noticed this kind of phase in the life span of many creative geniuses who made some not so good movies in the middle of their careers. And later came back with some greater masterpieces even better than their first ones. As I see it RGV also seems to be going through that phase in his life. He is no doubt a self-made genius of his own kind but sadly couldn't make an impressive comeback with Sarkar Raj.The movie is dark, slow and the only knock out moment in the movie is in the last 20 minutes as the mystery unfolds and the real culprit comes out of the curtain. What I found most displeasing in the movie is the overuse of innovative camera angles and the excess of dark lighting in the whole movie. The subject no doubt needed this kind of treatment but it goes over the limits as you watch this sequel of Sarkar. It's an intense crime drama with powerful performances but unfortunately the script is not able to entertain the viewers with its content. The story is quite predictable from the very first scene and therefore the viewer keeps waiting for something new on the screen, which only comes in the climax. Surely the first attempt by RGV was much better than this. Sarkar Raj lacks the grip and is not able to entertain enough. Though technically and creatively its superb, but that's not what the majority of people are paying for.Performance wise two people top the list, Amitabh Bachhan (though he has less scenes this time) and Dilip Prabhawalkar. Their scenes together are superbly shot and RGV genius shows in these few moments. In fact these are the only worth watching scenes in the movie not to be missed at any cost. Truly speaking Amitabh is the only active actor who could do justice to the character of the GODFATHER and he lives his part fantastically. The last scenes of the movie show his inimitable class and equally competent is Dilip Prabhawalkar in their confrontation scene. The rest of the cast is just fine. Abhishek looks intense in his silence and Aishwarya looks sober. The sad point is that apart from Amitabh and Dilip no one else adds anything to the movie. Everyone else is just enacting their parts and only these two characters stand tall. The part of an unknown killer was very childish to use by a man of high standards named RGV.Musically, Sarkar Raj is many steps behind the original Sarkar. You don't remember any chants walking out of the cinema and also the background music is not able to grab attention. The audience in the cinema was quite restless while watching it as they all were expecting much better stuff from Ram Gopal Verma. The movie is not as expected but it has its moments not to be missed which have the stamp of a master film-maker. But the conclusion is that RGV needs to get over his trademarks and has to reinvent himself urgently.May be his next film on one of his favorite topic, Phoonk (Based on Black Magic) gives us our good old RGV back in form.

This movie will go down in history as one of the best from RGV. Amitabh, Abhishek and Ashwariya gave superb performances for their roles. The background music is very good and enhances the impact of scenes. The movie manages to keep you on the edge because of suspense. I don't agree with some commentators who wrote that the pace of the movie was very slow. It was just right. RGV built the movie in an excellent way to the very extraordinary climax. The climax is worth watching.Abhishek is going to rise a lot, it seems. He has matured as a seasoned actor.
