A worthy addition to the "time out of life" genre where the protagonists spend their final week, summer, day -or night in this case- of escape before returning to their realities.The characters are well developed, their back stories hold interest and there are moments of true dreamy escapism dotted throughout this picture set entirely in a sumptuous hotel room in Rome.However what carries this movie is the camaraderie and obvious sexual chemistry between the Alba and Nata-ssssha. The way their relationship and romance blossoms throughout the movie is never forced and there is next to nothing cringeworthy, a common affliction of "love at first sight" fare.What surprised me was the skill with which the director conveyed the acute feeling that the whole situation was so delicate, private and most importantly, fleeting: You could palpably feel the two squeezing the absolute most out of their time together.The sex scenes are prominent, powerful and sensual rather than titillating... If rather short "coming to the point"...

Before I start to watch this movie, I thought this will be nothing except nudity. But when it finished, I felt mixed feelings. I was full of tears, it was completely hit me. Movie's music is STUNNING and really suited with the movie very well. There is generally emotional atmosphere throughout the movie. You starting to think life, problems in our life, desires, feelings, how fragile we are, pain of goodbye's etc. Like i said, mixed feelings. If you don't watch from emotional perspective, rating this movie after watched can be affected because of movie's chemistry. Personally, I loved to watch that room in Rome.. You may be saying why am I giving this artsy film a 4? There are many factors that go into a film as it is a collaborative effort. Writing, talent, directing, producing, wardrobe, hair & makeup, cinematography and one that hits at the heart of the matter here was the absolutely disastrous transfer onto the DVD medium.An absolute horror could not bear to watch this otherwise probably good movie unless I can now find in blu ray. The DVD version is very dark and extremely painful to watch. Why the apathy in the transfer here? Wasn't there someone who cared enough to see that this is properly released to the public? At first I thought seeing it's only 4GB maybe that's why. I just saw Lost and Delirious but that one is also 4GB and no problem in the transfer to DVD.

The very reason that I give 10 out of 10 is I am in the same situation just like this movie. There are reflections almost the exact same as in my life, it reminds me of how much I love this woman.This movie would be hard to understand and relate to if you never go into situation like them, this is not about cheating but to know what you really needed in your life. Being together with someone is always about the right timing and the right person. No matter how good you are planning for your life, your fate have and will show you the right one.If you could put yourself in their shoe in this movie, you will find out how beautiful they have become at the end. From holding back to each other to being completely honest within a night, all I can say is they are mean to each other.I hope you can enjoy this movie as I do.
