Roboshark Trailers

What starts off as a typical day on the streets of Seattle soon becomes a terrifying bloodbath, when a great white shark devours an alien space probe…and ROBOSHARK is born. The U.S. military comes after it with guns blazing, but it’s the power of social media that puts an ambitious newscaster and her tech-savvy daughter ahead of everyone else in the race to stop the destruction.

Roboshark (2015) * (out of 4) A UFO drops an object into the ocean, which is eaten by a great white shark. Soon the shark turns into the title creature and goes on a killing spree in Seattle, Washington.ROBOSHARK thinks it's a lot better than the countless other killer/mutant shark movies that have been shown on SyFy or gone straight to the Redbox. This one here likes to think its in on the joke and the dialogue here has a lot of so-called wit throwing jokes at SyFy and other shark movies. The problem is that this film is just downright annoying from start to finish and it doesn't contain a single spark of energy. There are a lot of issues with this film but we can start with the main story, which has a reporter, her cameraman and her daughter running around constantly trying to get the scoop on the shark. This here leads to a social media storm and several fights with another reporter trying to get the same stuff. All of this was rather annoying and it certainly didn't make you want to like the characters. This is meant for some tongue in cheek action so I won't bash the film for not being scary or anything like that. The performances, for the most part, are decent enough but we're really not here for that, are we? The death scenes are all bland and bloodless and I'd argue that the CGI shark looks okay considering what this movie is. Still, ROBOSHARK is just a flat out boring movie that can be skipped.

Naturally the title of this movie indicates exactly what you will be in for; another one of those low budget and very off key Sci-Fi movies that just raises so many questions. The main question is why did this even get turned into an actual movie. The storyline is about a shark that bites into an UFO vessel, and it is transformed into a robotic killer shark. Unstoppable both physically and in its hunger, Roboshark goes on a killing frenzy which makes both land and waters unsafe.Right, well there was no plausible direction to the storyline, especially given the circumstances of how ludicrous it was. But still, it is one of those bad Sci-Fi movies that you just have to watch because it is so bad.The effects in "Roboshark" were hilarious. And by hilarious I mean that they were so poor and bad that it was actually fun to witness. And it still amazes me that it is possible to make movies now a days with effects so poor.As for the acting in the movie, well it was pretty much as to be expected. It is one of those questionable Sci-Fi movies after all, so you know what you are in for prior to sitting down and watching "Roboshark".While there are a heap of movies like this, and some are actually enjoyable because they are so campy and cheesy, then "Roboshark" didn't fall into that category. "Roboshark" wasn't really worth spending an hour and thirty minutes on.My final rating for "Roboshark" sinks to a mere two out of ten stars. If you enjoy these types of campy monster flicks, low budget Sci-Fi movies, then there are far better choices out there.

I understand actors need to earn a living, but their choices of media can sometimes serve to limit their futures. The actors appearing in this not even laughably bad video, in the words of the last Crusader, have all "chosen poorly." This is pure dreck, with only porky performances, poor effects and a tired story line ("we're gonna need a bigger bang"). This work can only be a financial play for some well-heeled backer wanting a tax break, but for all associated it is an utter embarrassment. So many of these direct to TV (not even video) movies keep appearing that makes one wonder if they're on to something, and this can provide an outlet for the welter of talent that's out there. It offends the audience, however, to squander the available talent and take so many struggling actors for granted by barely even pretending to turn in something better than execrable. Don't waste your time on this total disaster.

Dear IMDb, I saw this movie. I was told this was a comedy through the voices of actors playing the roles of characters, is that breaking the fourth wall? Yeah, it was not a comedy, by the way. Why does stuff happen? Is there some deeper mechanism behind our day to day decisions or is there no such thing as conscious thought? This movie is about a city where some people live, but when the Roboshark shows up, less and less people live in the city until the movie's end. People will do that. Uh, this movie Okay, what do you want to know? Do you want to know some trivia? Do you want to know who is in this movie? Do you want to know my opinion or are you just being polite?
