Although "Ring Around the Rosie" was filmed with normal video cameras, it all the same has the look and feel of those ultra cheap shot on videotape movies that popped up in video stores in the 1980s. Needless to say, the low budget means that we don't get that much in the way of special effects or elaborate set pieces. The only way then the movie could have been saved is with the writing, but even in that area the movie fails miserably. The end credits for the movie list FIVE screenwriters, and it shows. The movie can't make up its mind as to what kind of horror movie it's supposed to be. It wavers between being a haunted house movie, a psychological thriller, and a mad psycho thriller, none of which is particularly interesting or creepy. A lot of that is due to the often incoherent nature of the movie. Things happen with no explanation or subsequent investigation (or action) by the heroine, and the characters (particularly the heroine) are murky and hard to get a handle on. How this extremely badly planned and executed project got a star like Tom Sizemore to appear in it, I cannot say. Maybe it was a favor for a friend, but I would bet that friendship was severely tested when Sizemore saw the finished results.

The start of this movie it could have been something It started out with a decent story, good set up with a million places to go. Then it just keeps getting worse and worse. Each event driving one more nail in to the coffin. It got really weird really quick, the plot starting going all over the place, hard to follow. Is it a dream? is it real, very confusingI think its funny they could not afford jessica alba so they found a girl that kind of looks like her, a little. Im not going to say don't watch this movie. I have seen way way worse, like "I know who killed me" With linlo......that was stupid!

Originally, my roommates and I were seeking a horror and a comedy to rent this evening... looks like we got both with "Ring-Around-the-Rosie"... only without the horror!!!!! At the beginning of the film we thought the actress had to be on LSD, and then, before the conclusion we thought maybe it was us for selecting it!!! It was the most incoherent verbal and visual diarrhea we agree we have ever seen on screen. I can see now how her fears were revisited... nature does have a way with scary wind (which by the way never blew out the candles all along her dresser, but some how managed to scatter the photos in her hand and heave her out the open window). After watching the film we found to our "astonishment" that there were no deleted scenes, as they were obviously all used in the film. Those 30 second fillers... we don't know what we enjoyed more- the angry wind, her clinging to the baseball bat like it was a French baguette, or the consecutive flashes of shaking black boots. I don't know about the rest of you movie credits but there has to something scary about a horse standing and a barely sloping hill. We do recommend it though, for any group of people who need a good laugh and a rescue from the reality of real horror flicks. The ones you pay to see. Finally, to add to the comment of an earlier critic... we agree brother... "nope. wrong. all wrong."

I'm into horror flicks or thrillers yno, mystery type ones that get you thinking and ends up your on the wrong track of the villains or what have you. ye i just didn't like it aye, thought it was gay aye. but some people thought it was kl, maybe i didn't follow the story line that well. but i mean I'm pretty deaf so i have to have it up loud and subtitles and all, and if i think I've missed an important bit i rewind it yno, but i jt got nothing out of the story! i thought the acting was terrible aye! the girl was a shocker, too much screaming. i cant remember it that well, and i only ever be like that when it wasn't to my liking. ye, i just was overly disappointed by the movie aye. in fact all my friends were, we were really wanting something scary like the ring but ye. jt didn't get anything out of it
