Red vs. Blue's 9th season was kind of a mixed experience, but in a good way, as we get two separate story arcs to witness over the course of the season. In each episode, we'll get a little from the first story arc, and a little from the other. The two story arcs in this season are closely interwoven into the RvB saga as a whole and serve to add a lot of depth to the mythology the series has created. The first plot is set right where season 8 left off. Church Epsilon has entered the memory unit in search of Tex, and has ended up in a "memory" of Blood Gulch, essentially letting us revisit the day-to-day misadventures of the reds and blues that we love oh so dearly from "The Blood Gulch Chronicles" (that is, season 1-5). Once again we'll rejoice over Caboose's mind-boggling stupidity, Tucker's whining, Donut's questionable pastimes, Sarge's nonsensical metaphors, Lopez's sarcastic nature and so on and so forth. This arc essentially returns RvB to its proverbial roots back in its early days, and it is a joy to experience. The second arc continues to detail the past of Project Freelancer. As we get further insight into Tex's origins, what eventually ruined the project, and Carolina's fall from grace. This half of the season is more about action than comedy, but it's some pretty damn good action to boot. The two arcs combines makes Red vs. Blue: Season 9 a great addition to the RvB saga.

After seeing this season, I followed the RvB story even more. This season was great at explaining both stories at a time. Project Freelancer and The Present ( Epsilon in the memory unit. ). It was able to keep me interested and waiting for more episodes. After the DVD released, I was amazed to feel the better experience of Red vs. Blue. This season was amazing and presented both stories perfectly. Using animated action, and of course, comedy. After Epsilon escaped the memory unit and met a certain someone along with Sarge and Caboose, I couldn't wait for the next season.Season 9 was a great season, along with the current Season 10!

(be carefull for this review is full of bad spelng) when i saw the trailer i was a bit worried because i didn't want the machinma to go. but season 9 has managed to do a brilliant job of combining the blood gulch stuff with the project freelancer stuff.at first we see epsilon (church) in the epsilon unit reliving the events of the blood gulch chronicles. but then it jumps back in time to the freelancer stuff and all i can say is....im impressed. the cgi looks amazing and is really enjoyable to watch.if there was any complaints they would be that while it looks great...nothing really happens in terms of plot. the characters change and the dialog is well written its just that.....nothing really happens still really impressive and i can't wait till season 10
