... View MoreFirst of all being a Prakash Jha's film, me as his fan expected some real piece of art but i feel sad to tell you that this movie is an ideal one to be called a BUMMER. I thought that this movie 'Raajneeti' would acquaint me to the techniques, methods and tricks used by politicians to persuade the public to vote for them.Or would be based on some concept which have never been catered before. But what I really got was ruthless killing, people going rouge and nothing but seeing bloodshed throughout the movie. It just works on the same ideas like people coveting for power and in search of it killing others and same honesty of poor is portrayed in the movie. None can call it even a nice piece of work. This movie will show you nothing but murders, bomb blast, people getting shot dead. It makes politics look all bad and will create a feeling of repulsion for it. So according to me please don't watch this movie and instead go out somewhere else with your family and spend some good time with the money you save.
... View MoreI've been a huge fan of The Godfather.I was more skeptical when I brought the movie to watch, expecting a typical Indian copy-paste of Hollywood classics. But after watching through the two and a half hour long movie, I'm more than impressed with the work Prakash Jha don in this. The characters selection was beyond perfect & I felt even the poor driver played his part with proper delivery & contained nothing too far from reality of this continent's political games & situations. The Mahabharat inspired characters placed on modern Indian political war field along with resembling roles of Micheal Corleone (Samar) & Fredo Corleone (Prithvi) can not be called identical. Inter connecting plot twists & the strong used dialogs made the movie an exception of typical Indian Films.
