Please don't fall for the fake reviews posted regarding this movie stating it as a must watch. this is absolute junk movie. Seems like the Deols are going through extreme financial crisis that they had to resort to this kind of junk. the direction is absolute disaster , Talpade makes you feel like you are are retard showing same nonsense repeatedly. I kept watching it past ten minutes hoping it ll get better but it just keeps going on and on and more and more dumb. Bobby is portrayed as a teacher with IQ of less than 5, all the movie he is not able to decide what subject he actually teaches...........!!!! Even if someone has vasectomy, what is the big deal of proving it that they didn't had it done. Just get a simple semen analysis and it will show that the procedure was not done. why to waste so much time and effort convincing people that they didn't had vasectomy!!!! Understandable that Indian govt system is absolutely retard and slow but in this movie it has been shown to hit the impossible low......come on... In climax scene, the CM is saying that he will show his power but when he goes to talk to these 3 idiots, he suddenly has a change of mind...... All the characters are struggling with identity crisis, Sunny is a super man in his sisters eyes but shown as an imbecile, Bobby is trying to figure out what topic he actually teaches, Talpade is dressing like a monkey with a weird beard and looks and acts like a chimpanzee........ If there is a category of lame and dumb movies, then this is definitely a strong contender for top spot.

An official remake of Sameer Patil's 2014 Marathi runaway hit "Poshter Boyz",Shreyas Talpade's directorial debut 'Poster Boys' deals with the highly socially relevant issue of male sterilization in a light- hearted tone with satisfactory dose of slapstick and verbal humor to label it as a decent entertainer for the single screen audience in particular. Most importantly the movie marks the come back of Bobby Deol into the big screens after a hiatus of almost 4 years, who has managed to give out a solid performance that's instantly lovable. The saving grace of the movie for most part is the brilliant chemistry between Deol brothers and Shreyas, and the trio ensures that the loopholes on the storyline is concealed up to an extent. The screenplay credited to the duo of Bunty Rathore and Paritosh Painter is filled with abundance of comic sequences which at times become a bit too loud and repetitive. The climax portions puts forward a commendable social message which could have been more impactful had the screenplay been less predictable and giving more emphasize on the issue rather than resorting to low-brow humor. The movie had a feel of television sitcom at times which can be attributed to the constrained budget of the movie. The references to yesteryear super-hits of Deol brothers like 'Soldier','Border' and 'Damini' was funny and executed well.It was a delight to watch Bobby Deol back on the big-screen after a long-time and the charismatic made it sure that the character invested on him is portrayed well with necessary mannerisms and dedication.Sunny Deol too gave an impressive performance and the funny sequences involving him were totally hilarious and the best part of the narration.Shreyas Talpade was impressive with his comic timing.Sonali Kulkarni and Samiksha Bhatnagar were adequate.Ashwini Kalsekar did her part well. Two among the three songs in the movie was used in the credits and the idea to reboot 'Kudiyan Shehar Di' from Arjun Pandit has worked out well among the mass audience.Technical side of the movie was okayish.Overall,Poster boys is an average comedy-drama that's worth a watch for its social relevance, some funny one-liners and neat performances from the cast.

Some stories are so absurd, that they must be true! This is what can be said for 'Poster Boys', a directorial venture of Shreyas Talpade (himself an accomplished actor, although lately kind of disappeared from the mainstream). The topic of male sterilization and the associated taboo in India, especially when you live in a small village community, is presented in a funny and exaggerated manner. It is nice to see another attempt to re-launch Bobby Deol (as yet another borderline comic character). Although can't say it is much successful. In fact Sunny Paaji's effortless timing and dialog delivery made him overshadow his younger brother in nearly every scene together. He stole the show. Shreyas Talpade, who plays one the three main characters in the story, is OK; dons a 'tapori' look as a recovery agent, with two of his sidekicks (who by the way, gave some of the good laughs), getting into unwarranted troubles most of the time. The movie tries to treat the subject in a quasi satirical manner, with references to how media can be manipulated by simply making some sensational moves. 'Truth needs sensation to be heard' - a sad but apt comment, made by one of the characters.Overall nice, watchable and funny. Not that a must watch, but you most likely won't regret wasting your time.

There was a time when male sterilization was so demeaning but now a days, approach is changed. If they had handled this subject in light way then it could have been ticklish but they stuffed it with pretending unnecessarily high pitch drama and stupid comedy. In climax they tried to justify this subject in sensible way but that was too late and sudden. Film opens with all male actors back to camera, one journalist speaks about them and film goes to flash back with loud back ground and then opens with a dance sequence on which credits roll over. Nothing gels well, neither that back ground sound, nor that item song but character gets introduced in it. They tried to keep 'poster' issue as surprise for almost 25 minutes which was well exposed and revealed in trailer! They have tried to encash already established two male protagonist image by mocking their own hit dialogues. Master, played by Bobby Deol, has soldier song as ring tone. Government officer name is Balwant!! It is obvious that they could not find new gags so they tried to go on beaten path. Chaudhary (Sunny Deol), suddenly turns into his high voltage angry image by breaking lock, chair etc !! Drama seems lame and loud because of not so dramatic Poster issue but is has established as disaster by showing, Chaudhary's sister marriage gets cancelled. They think about ancient scene like Pagadhi putting on groom's father feet for not cancelling marriage !!? Master's wife, who has already two daughters, threatens him to divorce because she wants another male baby. Third, a recovery agent but behaving like goon is accepted by girl's family but gets rejected by girl's father due to that poster. There is nothing in the name of characterization. For example, teacher lives in Punjab, teaches Geography then speaks typical Hindi and sometimes Chemistry formulas, who is known for forgetting crux lines. A deaf photographer and his chubby female translator assistant!! Makers would have thought it as a laugh riot but it was lamest long scene. If male sterilization was so demeaning for that village than rather than going for medical checkup to prove that they had not done it they try every way like thrashing officers, going to court then announcing in press conference for nude protest but doing semi nude protest. First half is somehow bearable but second half is annoying. That long protest scene is too much. Everything happens in jiffy in climax. Even they preach after all stupid show off. Performance wise Bobby Deol as teacher is very impressive as a timid guy. Sunny Deol is good for whatever had tasked to him.
