it was moderately interesting, though constantly dragged down by some very shaky acting. it follows the similar trope of other time travel movies by showing certain scenes and sequences that apparently don't make sense but will make sense later on in the film. A macguffin appears in the form of a video camera that records everything and goes back in time, so the characters can see their immediate future selves, and even repeat the dialogue they see themselves use later on, constantly remarking things like "I knew I'd say that" or "I can't believe I got to say that" It abruptly turns into a "find the killer" type thing as a random killer goes around killing them. At some point as well, shenanigans involving time travel abuse to exploit the stock market and become rich gets involved, and there's a very minor twist at the very end that isn't very important or shocking unless you're for some reason absolutely devoted to the plot and the characters to a degree highly unusual for a 2 hour movie

Sometimes I forget how bad amateur actors can be. This feels like a college film project. The dialogue and acting was below par. It was the delivery of the lines. So much of it was overdone, or else delivered in a monotone. They could of used a bit of acting coaching. I am not sure the lines were even that bad overall, but the way they said them, the echoing of the sound and cheapness showed in the sound and sets. Also way too many f-words. They feel so phony. That always feels like such a cheap way to express your emotion to me. The NZ blonde actress slipped in and out of a NY/Jersey maybe NZ a bit accent and then a more normal American accent. I guess she is actually a stunt women as a primary career whom has moved to acting. The movie moved bit slowly even though it was trying to move fast, it was a little boring as it went. Luckily you can FF on netflix. The ending was not that satisfying.I will give them props for the actual machine effects. They did good with that. When they got zapped back and forth it looked good. It looks like they shot the entire movie in a parking garage. It is a good effort for a low budget movie.

The manipulation of time is my favorite form of Science Fiction, it also happens to be the most difficult to write. Alternate histories, time travel, and of course paradoxes, can very easily go from entertaining to confusing to unwatchable in the blink of an eye. There is a very fine line between explaining too little, confusing audiences, and explaining too much, hence boring them to death with the scientific stuff. Lucky for us, not only does the new Sci-Fi thriller, Paradox manage to find that line, but much like it's story, it manages to come back to it over and over again. The story seems like a rather basic one, as a group of scientist are hired by a mysterious billionaire, to create a machine for the purposes of time travel. On this day, the group is pretty confident that they have completed the machine and will be sending one member, one hour into the future. The test works perfectly, only when the man arrives an hour into the future, he finds the lab is a mess and many of his colleagues are dead, hence the paradox. Will going back to warn everyone cause what he just saw or will it prevent it? Paradox is one of those films where it isn't about the acting, any decent actor could have been cast, it's the story that matters and the story was fantastic. The way they manage to utilize the machine and equipment that you never even noticed, or how they amp up the mystery by making everyone have that one thing that could make them a possible suspect, just makes the film that much more intense. This was honestly one of my favorite movies of 2016, and believe it or not, it was Written/Directed by a completely unlikely source. After seeing this, I had to know who wrote it and to my surprise, it was Michael Hurst, a guy who until now had only written some B-horror movies and directed some Xena episodes!?! This time he tried something different and may have found his true calling. If you love science fiction and a great mystery on top of that, you won't find many films that combine the two with the ease and satisfaction of Paradox.

I love time travel movies and I have an understanding in how time travel can actually be possible, so this interests me.This had massive potential- as big as Terminator or my favourite movie Back To The Future. Now, these are varied by story telling and budget of course and certainly actors. However there are many points which were mentioned by other viewers and I won't dwell on them here.NSA plot line had next to no reason to be there and should have been left out.Asian security guard could have used more lines and purpose.More scientific theory could have been utilized in the beginning to make it more interesting...a perfect example is in Back To The Future That stupid costume for the killer was just retarded and should have been something much cooler like...well just cooler. It's hard to write a time travel movie which makes sense...I know. I'm writing one myself - and it gets very very confusing and easy to get off track...so congrats on following through with the plot and the twist.A bigger budget certainly would have helped this and better set design as well. There were elements which would have made this film on-par with Back To The Future or The Terminator, but they were overlooked and therefore made this film seem cheap, not only now - but in years to come.I would love to see this done with more thought put into it in the future - if that is at all possible. With all the above noted; still overwhelmed at how much thought had to be put in with all the blocking, prep work and more to be able to do what you did. What I hated was the over abundance of swearing. Swearing consistently shows poor dialogue and character development and brings down the story almost every time.
