Abhay Deol has emerged as an intelligent actor in Bollywood. He absorb himself into the role, and it looks like natural scene. People misunderstand that he does not know acing, but actually he is born natural actor.Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! is pure Dark Comedy, and requires patience to watch. Dibakar Banerjee has shown the real culture of Delhi, he has succeed in getting right tone of delhi people and culture. Beside Abhay Deol there are two other actor's you will appreciate: Paresh Rawal and Neetu Chandra. All characters are uniquely designed.People looking for stupid Comedy must not see this movie. Because this is not any other headless-comedy-riot movie. Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! received positive critical acclaim. Raja Sen of Rediff gave the movie 4.5/5 stars, saying that "All I can say is – after very gratefully handing it four and a half stars, in case you asked – that this is a movie to love. And one that makes the audience feel just like the hero: really, really lucky."

The film is not too much to expect but in these depressing times of Hindi film cinema, it should be seen as a sign of relief. The film follows the story of a thief, whose ways to steal things are the basis of making the film funny. The character is shown as innocent hearted and who does not have any bad ideas in mind while stealing. In the end people made use of him and somehow Abhay deol manages to make our bone tickle in even those situations. The Indian sense of humor at most of the times seemed horrible but everything written here is considering other films in mind.PROS: You will feel the acting of Abhay Deol as wooden but somehow he had the power all the time to make you feel happy. His way of stealing are OK but sometimes looked too much exaggerated.CONS: The story of the film is great but I would not hesitate to say that it has been mishandled in most of the scenes. Many times the scenes were made deliberately funny and that was irritating.Verdict: "A recommended watch."

Oye Lucky Lucky Oye ! Lucky to get such a wonderful movie. when bollywood is producing only crap on name of Big flicks, OLLO, comparatively very low budget flick, brings a Breeze of freshness. The movie is a true masterpiece and extremely original because of its sheer brilliant direction. Hats off to Mr.Dibakar Banerjee for this great, aesthetic and tasteful movie in all the aspects. Dibakar earns full points for being that courageous to experiment is all the parts of movie, whether it is characterization, or multiple roles by Paresh Bhai, or folk, traditional music. Creativity inside him seems to be boiling in full temperature and that really raises our expectation bar for the next time. Abhay Deol could be the only adequate choice for that Ultra cool "Superchor" and he proves it. Abhay, having a special crowd of fans, again gifts them a terrific movie. His acing is awesome and fits very nicely to the character. His chuckling face, innocent smile drives you crazy and evokes a sense of pristine happiness inside you. Paresh Rawal is one of the most talented character artist of Hindi film industry and this movie consolidates the fact. One thing, I am sure about the movie, those who will like it, wont be able to control himself watching it again and again. Very solid performance by young lucky and his cute, innocent greeting card girl. That sequence of movie is super cute and makes you hold your heart and breath. Music adds flavor in the movie and very nicely transplanted in background, that makes movie very speedy. Also for those who does not know, the singers were selected by folk songs competitions in haryana and Punjab's villages. Brilliant idea!! Truly wonderful and natural music, superb acting and innovative direction ! Kudos to all !!

I must say, I thought this was just gonna be another flop movie, but it really caught my attention since beginning. Abhay Deol is a very decent actor and his chemistry with the Legendary Presh Rawal in 3 different looks and roles worked really good. Abhay needs to do more roles like this. And the casting was done superbly, even the young boy playing Abhay's role did a very good too. It's very much based on realistic events which turns a young boy into something he can feel good about doing by bothering the society. I must applaud the director for this movie, he did an excellent job portraying the message out. Overall if you are looking to have a good time with something new to see, then definitely grab this!
