Northern Lights Trailers

A stranger's call informs Roberta that her estranged brother Frank has died in a small town under bizarre circumstances. Ben, his best friend from college, also gets the call. Arriving just in time for his funeral, it becomes quickly obvious to them that the little slice of small-town America in which they find themselves is like an episode of The Twilight Zone featuring Frank's eccentric friends, his amazing secrets and his stunning final request. Both Ben and Roberta are shocked to discover that Frank not only had a child, but that he has left them responsible for his son's care.

I loved this film, and I've been trying to get a copy of it for 11 years. Alas, without any success at all!! I've seen the comments of Court_TV_fan600, and totally agree with everything said: It contains a magic which is rare. It is a comedy like no other - sad, surreal and with lots of meaning. I've read some negative comments about Dianne Keaton's performance, but I think she plays a GREAT comedy part in this: a busy New Yorker who doesn't really have time to leave the city, but she goes to the town, and, at first, 'sticks out like a sore thumb' in the small town. It's great to follow the film and see how she gets to love the place, the people and the child. Joseph Cross Plays an excellent part, too. Oh, how I wish I could see it again! Does anyone know where I can get a copy? Could you have one made for me? I'd be happy to pay you in advance. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I LONG to see it again and share it with my four kids. David (Wales, UK)

This movie is a movie to love. It is better than any theatrical or production ever made. This movie defines life, my life anyway. There is not a scene in this movie where I can't directly relate it to my life. My life has been a living hell for the past 6 years, I have been on the upside of the roller coaster, no downside in sight, and this movie has ALWAYS been there for me. I taped it off Disney in 1997 and it has followed me ever since. There is magic in this movie, something that I cannot put into words. There is a spirit in it. Even though I have seen it probably thousands of times over and over again, I can still put it in and cry all the way through it. In fact, I think I'm going to watch it right now!

Well, I'm here now, writing this message, just because Joseph Cross. Northern Lights was the first movie that I saw with Joseph, and I started to pay attention, and he's incredible, and in this movie, when he makes that feeling scenes, is very real and can bring you inside of the movie. He has a gift, he can make the emotions come out. And I almost cried too. It's a very nice movie, and I want to watch more movies with him.
