In all fairness, this movie is just as good (or bad) as the other movies out of its series. This is no big surprise, since all of the movies are being more or less the same with its concept and set-up.Three movies later we still basically no nothing about hell house or what's the demons want exactly. It's just lazy writing from the writers, who think that it's enough of having a ghostly concept, that allows the movie to feature plenty of cliché horror moments in it. Guess that is a bit of a missed opportunity to add some more depth and overall originality to the movies.I didn't had as much fun with this movie as I had with the other ones though. This is mostly because this movie doesn't really feature any likable characters in it. It's also less comical written and orientated as the first two movies, which is another reason why this movie is overall less fun to watch.I also wasn't very fond or impressed by the movie its overall look. This seemed like a real cheap movie and I'm just not that crazy of the '90's style of film-making and look in the first place. But what all three movies have in common is that they all still feature some real great horror make-up effects and some other practical effects, that all add to the movie its horror and goriness. And it's funny how the Angela keeps popping up in this movies, cause I really don't have the feeling that it was the original intention for her to be the 'main' villain of the movies. It makes Amelia Kinkade the only actress who appeared in all three movies. She plays the same characters every time and also basically does the same stuff every time. It's not exactly the most refreshing or original movie series but at least it knows how to stay a constant consistent one and therefore I also just can't really rate this movie any lower than any of the previous ones.So really, it's nothing too bad. If you liked the previous two, there should be no reason why you shouldn't like this one as well.5/10http://bobafett1138.blogspot.com/

Weak followup to NOTD2, with Angela back for one more go-round, this time versus a bunch of young punks who rob a store and shoot a cop. They take refuge at Hull House, which they will soon learn to regret. Some decent nudity, sexy situations and actually more special effects than in the first two flicks combined, but weak on everything else. I am glad Mimi Kincaide got to play Angela in all three movies, even though she was getting noticeably older and heftier by the time this second sequel was made. I imagine the filmmakers must have been very tired of the franchise by this point, and it shows. Not a scare to be had.

Third outing in the series and , amazingly, nobody has thought of demolishing the house and having a priest pee all over the foundations (or something suitable that would destroy the evil). This time the house is visited by a van full of teens who are on the run from the law. Some of them are on from the law, at least, and some of them are just caught up in the middle of things. Unsurprisingly, Angela welcomes in the new blood with open arms. This has just as much fun with the gore and the death as the previous two movies but it takes a step down with the level of acting throughout. Almost everyone involved here is pretty poor and it's not surprising that you won't recognise any of the faces. What is surprising is that the third outing in this series is still almost as much fun just because of the freedom and opportunities provided by the central idea. This may be the one I'd not choose to watch again but I certainly wouldn't mind if it ever did appear on my TV and I was distracted by it.

I'd look a bit silly if I complained about this being a derivative, silly and rather worthless horror film - because that much is obvious, given that this film is a sequel to a fairly successful eighties cult film, made nine years after the initial release. The second film in the Night of the Demons series tried to be a little different from the first and focus on comedy, as well as making a cult icon out of the central demon, 'Angela'. This one, however, goes back to what made the first film such a good time; as although this film is pretty much identical to the original; it is at least a mostly successful attempt at comedy-horror, and not bad at all for a second sequel. As you'd probably expect, the plot from this one simply follows a bunch of kids who come a cropper when they decide to hole up in the sinister 'Hull House'. After accidentally shooting a police officer, a troupe of kids and a couple of girls that they picked up find themselves on the run and are forced to make a stop at Hull House when their car begins leaking petrol. There, they are introduced to Angela; and soon wish they'd stayed on the right side of the law...Amelia Kinkade reprises the only role she is famous for, and while she has clearly lost some of her sexual prowess; she still manages to be sexy and seductive almost a decade on from her role in the first film. There is a big focus on sex, as you would expect given the first two films; and we get treated to scenes that see the female members of the cast show off their 'talents' on several occasions. The make-up looks cheap, but is still a hell of a lot better than CGI rubbish and while the death scenes aren't as imaginative as in the first movie; they're gory enough to remain satisfying to the sort of people that like this sort of film. Hull House once again provides a nice location for all the gory goings on, although this time around the locations aren't as wonderfully Gothic as they were previously. Kevin Tenney, the director of the original film has got his pen out for the script this time around, while the director's chair is taken by Jim Kauffman; who does a better job than you would expect from the director of a second sequel to a trashy eighties flick. Overall, Night of the Demons III is fun enough and recommended to fans of the original with time to spare.
