The Pink Panther for some reason has a house right on the land of the City Dump. With nothing to eat, the Pink Panther walks around hoping to find food, but instead, finds a magician's hat that was accidentally left behind by his speeding vehicle. The hat contains a over-sized bunny rabbit, who helps the panther create food, a membership card to a sauna and other stuff by magic. Not much laughs in this one - just some random magical stuff that is supposed to help the Pink Panther better his life. It's odd that with all the homes the Pink Panther is shown living in the cartoons, he is shown living at a house on a city dump. Not one of the better or laughable Pink Panther cartoons out there - just a very random and forgettable one.Grade D+

Is Mystic Pink worth seeing? Of course, every Pink Panther cartoon is worth seeing at least once(some more so than others). Is it great? To me, no it wasn't but it was a long way from bad either. There is no problem with the music, the theme tune is timeless and despite having been heard umpteen times it's still endearing while the music accompanying the action and story is slinky and doesn't feel at all repetitive or pedestrian, despite being essentially variations of the theme tune. Pinky is still cool and likable, his comic timing as amusing and subtle as usual, and the rabbit for one so big is quite cute. The second half mostly is better than the first, the gags are never hilarious and there are not that many but they are fun and serve the fun concept well, the ending is where the cartoon is at its funniest. The animation has been better before though, the Pink Panther cartoons all use a simple minimal style which is usually appealing but here it looks rather hurried and sparse with not much variety in shade and colour. The first half does take a little too much time to set up, which hurts the pacing a bit and the Little Man, usually a fun adversary and one we sometimes feel sympathy for has next to nothing to do here. All in all, reasonably fun but unexceptional. 6/10 Bethany Cox
