Having brought us three other great recorded stand-up performances, and successful appearances on Live at the Apollo, and the always hilarious Send to All text game in his own TV show, I was really looking forward to another stand-up show. Live at London's O2 Arena comedian Michael McIntyre brings his usual style of hilarious observational, physical, double-meaning, one-liner and thought provoking comedy. It begins with fan videos, then subjects in the show that are both interesting and parodied are dieting and losing weight, iPads, children and parenting, medicines, mobile phones and apps, injuries and seeing the doctor, sleeping funny, walking and running oddly and orthotics, touching a stranger, walking fast and slow, airport protocol and passengers, supermarkets and shopping (including Waitrose), public toilets, The Tether (a woman's lack of patience and annoyance), date nights, fans abroad, going abroad (including Johannesburg, Australia and Dubai), being on holiday with children, hotels, an app question about Michael himself, and the evening ends with funny photos of Michael based on jokes made throughout the show. This is good fun, I definitely had a good laugh a few times, and I will definitely not miss the next live stand-up show. Michael McIntyre was number 9 on 100 Greatest Stand- Ups 2010. Good!

Michael McIntyre is a funny comedian and his three previous comedy DVD's have been fab. But oh dear, what went wrong here? The jokes, right from the start, are weak and the stories told often over long. I see lots of copies of this DVD popping up in charity shops and I can see why. It's not McIntyre at his best.I'm pleased to say that having heard his newer material of his new 'Big Show' TV programme he's back on steadier ground, but this marks a nadir for the likable comedian if ever there was one.I hope for better next time.

Michael McIntyre is back with his fourth stand up tour, after a three year break for touring. I have been a huge fan of Michael ever since his first tour back in 2008, I have seen him twice live but unfortunately wasn't able to make his latest tour in person. I watched the DVD around Christmas time after a drink or two and found it simply hilarious! I have seen his previous DVD's several times each and seeing Michael perform some fresh material was very pleasant indeed! This latest instalment in his successful run of stand up tours, is vintage Michael McIntyre. I felt in his previous stand up he changed his style for the worse and developed a more immature approach and I was very pleased to see that he didn't continue that style in 'Happy and Glorious'. Jokes about day to day life and things we can all relate to are present here and Michael comes across as usual as one of the nicest men in stand up.If you were a fan of Michael McIntyre's previous DVDs then there is no reason why you wouldn't like this one, its much of the same from Michael and I think a 3 years break has worked well for him as this show felt very fresh!9/10
