Medusa's Child Trailers

Fuming over the departure of his wife Vivian and the cutting of his research funding, crazy nuclear scientist Rogers Henry constructs Medusa, a thermonuclear bomb capable of generating a continent-sized electro-magnetic pulse; such EMP could effectively destroy a computer-based society. He dupes Vivian into bringing it to the Pentagon to exact his final revenge on the government, rigging it so it will explode before its count-down if Vivian's pacemaker isn't within fifteen feet of it. Medusa arms itself in the air aboard Scott Nash's 737 cargo plane, and with Hurricane Sigrid about to hit the coast, nobody wants to let them land. Based on the novel by John J. Nance.

This is another excellent Martin Scheen movie. Good work seems to follow him around like a puppy wanting love. The plot, the story line all mesh well. One small technical error. The exterior of the airplane as well as the script, call it a 737 (That is Boeing 737), but in fact the cockpit scenes show it to be a Boeing 727. The 727 has a crew of three and three engines. The 737 is smaller has two engines and no flight engineer station. Admittely a small detail, but important to those of us that have spent more than thirty seconds in an airplane. However it does not detract from the movie. If you like techno thrillers, this is for you. Tom Clancy fans will love it.Bruce Deville

Saw this film for the first time about 10 minutes ago and was absolutely FLOORED!!! After the first 20 minutes, I said to myself....EH; Maybe a C+. Then, once Gail O'Grady's character got the thing ( I won't say what) on board and you learn what it is, I upgraded it to a B+. Then, a little more than an hour into it, I shouted aloud, "Eccumenical Effluvia", A+, and by the end, 2 hours later, it's final grade was A+++! Then, I come downstairs to see how much it is on Amazon, But neither they nor anyone else has it out yet!?!? Movie fans, SEE THIS ONE!!!!! It drags a tad in the first 20 minutes, but stay with it! You'll need Kidneys of cast iron... it's that good. You'll be glued to your seat!

This excellent 2 part mini-series revolves around the Medusa project. A nuclear bomb created to kill millions of people as well as destroy all electricity in the US including crashing all computers. The creator's ex-wife is to deliver to the Pentagon what she believes is only a mock of the bomb but the real thing is on board the plane & is set to detonate if moved or defused. The mini series stars Lori Loughlin, Gail O'Grady, Vincent Spano, and Kevin Dillon. For a mini-series it's filled with top-notch actors, excellent dialogue, great direction, and terrific special effects. From start to finish, Medusa's Child keeps you on the edge of your seat & doesn't let up until the closing credits.

Nice to see a tv movie that can actually generate suspense and tension rather than make you reach for the remote in boredom. Some decent acting, plenty of sharp dialogue, with kudos to Chris Noth, Martin Sheen and Vincent Spano.I don't generally give tv movies the time of day, but this grabbed my interest and held me there for three hours solid. It was great to see it all in one go with no commercial breaks, the time really did fly by - pardon the pun!Despite one or two moments that stretch the plausibility factor, if you like a good political thriller, this is definitely worthy of your time.
