Love's Long Journey Trailers

Missie's surprise pregnancy sets her on a new course that is both thrilling and terrifying. After all the planning and dreaming, she and her husband, Willie, have headed west in a covered wagon, leaving behind the prairie home of Missie's parents. Now, caught between the excitement of the new adventure and the pain of not knowing when she'll see her family again, Missie copes with the challenges, and cherishes the rewards, of her new homestead.

I love all of the movies in the Love Comes Softly series, but this was my favorite yet! Erin Cottrell and Logan Bartholomew do a great job as Missie and Willie, and there is a lot more action and excitement added to the romance of the first two in this series. God's protection along the way in the LaHaye's family's new life is very evident, and the same heart for others that Missie had in Love's Enduring Promise is clearly seen in this movie. I also loved the sweet friendship between Missie and Miriam, and their willingness and eagerness to help each other out in whatever way they can. Well worth seeing, I can't wait for number 4! Great, clean family movie for all!!!

I didn't really think this series was going to be my type of movie, though I have always liked a good romance. It definitely reminds me of Little House on the Prairie. I'm sure we all know why that is. When I watched this movie the first time, I cried throughout. It is absolutely wonderful! I highly recommend watching the entire series, especially watching them in the proper order. If you can't find a place to rent them, they would be well worth the purchase! I'm just trying to save up money so I can buy them for myself. I wish Little House on the Prairie would come out on DVD as well so I could add it to my collection. Unless it's come out and I just haven't found it yet?

I was quite disappointed in this movie. Watching it, the acting felt wooden and the dialogue was weak. It became predictable from the beginning to the end, and irritating that they could murder the original story so much. I also find it annoying that the actress playing Missy was different. I did like the first installment, though it strayed from the book - it did stay true in the sense of the meaning of the plot. The sequel seemed chopped up from several novels and spliced together. It was okay, but not as good as the first. The third had a lot of inconsistencies - one example. In the first movie, Missy helps her father with the farm work, but she can also cook a little. In the second, she could cook (she tempted Willie with her cooking), yet she couldn't do the farm work very well. In the third one, she couldn't cook anymore (she apparently forgot how to), and she told someone she grew up helping her father. Another nitpick is that it was supposed to be winter - yet there's no snow and they never get any.

I so enjoyed watching this movie! I saw the first, "love comes softly". Then, I found out from my 1st cousin, John Bartholomew, who lives in Galion, Ohio, that his son, my 2nd cousin, Logan Bartholomew was going to be playing the part of Willie in, "love's enduring promise"!! What a thrill! I also found out that Logan was playing a lead part in the 3rd series of Janette Oke's "love's long journey". That was a great one that my whole family enjoyed. Very well scripted. Not only is Logan a great looking young fellow, he actually shows signs that he could become a very well-known actor in the future. His horsemanship is great....he gets that from my side of the family!I can only hope that he will be given the opportunity in the future to star in some really notable films. So far, he's doing wonderfully. All of us in his immediate family are very proud of him in his accomplishments thus far and only wish him the best. I spoke to Logan the day after "love's long journey" aired and he was just so sweet and humble. He's working with some great people!!
