I think this might be the biggest piece of crap I have ever watched in my life! Now, while I didn't have to pay to watch it (checked out from the library) I would like my 95 min back! Such a waste of time! I can't believe they got all those A-listers to be in that piece of crap video! Wow! The stories were so disjointed. I thought surely they would connect all the little stories by the end or something. Or if the stories had all been from a different decade (that is what I thought would be the deal when the first story started in 1969) that may have given it something, but no that wasn't the case. There is no redeeming quality at all to this movie. It was just so disjointed and weird. Sorry to say.

This has to be the worst movie I have ever seen. To backpedal a little about, I would like to say that their idea for the movie was interesting, and I get the feeling the short films included were written by amateurs looking for a chance to show the world what they can do. However, the quality of the picture, the awful writing, and the ability of the film to turn actors I respect and admire like James Franco and Robert Downey Jr. into what you would consider B- or C-list really comes together to make for a really, really bad movie. Even the transitions between the skits and the way the music cuts in and out adds to the goofy factor."Grasshopper" may have been the only semi-decent part, but you will even notice the degradation of James Franco's acting skills in this part. His not-so-subtle use of his eyebrow movements and the lack of realism in the story contribute to a movie that can be best described with a rating of 1 out of 10.

I couldn't agree more with xoxo_200625's review - if anything, I think she has been too kind. This movie could definitely set a new record in the Guinness World Records as the most-unbearable-to-watch movie of all time. I could barely sit through the first part and had to eject the movie mid-way through the second part. It is surprising how accomplished actors like Robert Pattinson, Robert Downey Jr. and Amy Adams could agree to star in such drivel - perhaps the art house crowd may unearth some merits which escaped my attention. If there were any, they were buried too deep under the confusing and often heavy-handed symbolism. Definitely to be avoided at all costs.

All the above comments are pretty spot on. There was no plot. To any of the five shorts...stories? Can you call a plot that begins nowhere, gets really sad, then ends a story? The acting might have been good. I honestly can't tell, because the writing was so nonexistent that I fast forwarded through the last half of the movie, hoping to find something not completely depressing and void of interest. I don't leave reviews much, but I'll leave this in the hopes that someone in Hollywood will see these reviews and ban this kind of movie for the remainder of creation. There was nothing redeemable about this movie, not even the otherwise great actors. I too, want my money back.
