London, Paris, New York Trailers

London Paris New York is a film that captures the angst of the twenties, the most dramatic period of one's life - when you have to find a career, you have your first significant relationship and most importantly form your identity in this world. This is story about Lalitha, a middle class south Indian girl from Chembur (an eastern suburb in Mumbai) who is on her way to New York to study politics with full scholarship, and Nikhil, a Punjabi, rich kid from Bandra (a posh western suburb of Mumbai) who is going to study Film Making in London on 100% dad's money. They decide to hangout together one evening in London and find that they are completely drawn to each other even as their future lies on separate continents. The film follows their personal journey and their love story as they meet in London, Paris and New York for a night each over eight years. The film is in three chapters and each chapter is shot in a manner that mirrors the mental state of Nikhil and Lalitha.

They were just looking as delivering there learned Dialogs as a 5 year Old's Children's Play ... Dialogues are Hopeless .... Acting is worst and The worst part was the Climax .... Yeak!!! Then wasted My 1 hrs (fast forward half movie !!!) Better watch Bachna aye hasino a better movie!!!

The movie is on the lines of "Before Sunset/Sunrise" or "When Harry met Sally" but concept wise it's a better adaptation (or "motivated movie") then the earlier ones in the line like "Hum Tum" and "Mausam". The movie stars Aditi Rao and Ali Zafar in the lead role, a refreshing and clever choice. Both leads have played out their part perfectly. The highlight of the movie is light-hearted and some what witty conversation between the two in the first half(which is somewhat inspired by "Before..." series mentioned earlier). On the contrary, the second half of movie is a bit of downer with typical melodrama of bollywood movies and a typical ending.

The movie starts out on a simple note and starts to gain momentum. The script for some reason is purely brilliant even though the movie has been inspired from two Hollywood flicks 'Before Sunrise' and 'Before Sunset'. Ali Zafar manages to pull off his role rather well and brings a substantial amount of depth to his character while Aditi Rao is deep and profound. Her character goes through various phases and she pulls them through with sheer brilliance. The movie gets sort of irritating post the interval but the irritation is short lived. Good songs and cinematography add to the overall experience. Believe me it's worth a watch if you want to watch a purely romantic love story. But only if you haven't watched Before Sunrise and Before Sunset.

Director Anu Menon has satisfied with his first effort. But only satisfied. He has used the beauty of the three cities well, although he could have played more to it. The story in hand is very idealistic and far fetched, but its Bollywood so it works. Aditi Rao seems to be trying too hard to capture certain emotions and often misses. Ali Zafar's suave and cocky look seems over played, even though it works in some of the scenes. His true acting caliber comes to face in a scene with an emotional outburst towards the end where he acts brilliantly. The flow of the movie seems very disconnected at times and the audience has to draw their own conclusions to have the story make sense to them.
