I just watched the movie Life Size online as I haven't seen this movie for years until today. The story is about a young girl called Casey(played by former child star Lindsay Lohan who made her debut back in 1998 with The Parent Trap) a timid young girl who is living with her father who happens to work in Business. Her mom passed away a long time ago and she is trying to bring her back from the dead. So Casey steals a book that can bring people back from the dead and on the eve of her birthday, her dad's girlfriend gives Casey an Eve doll which aren't as popular as they used to be.But when Casey's dad's girlfriend accidentally brushes Eve's doll as Casey was doing the Resurrection spell out of the book that she stole from the bookshop she ends up bringing her doll Eve to life. Now Eve(played by America's Next Top Model host Tyra Banks) is alive and well, and Casey is mortified when she sees Eve sleeping beside her the next day. Its up to Casey to get another book from the 1st book that she got and bring back Eve as a doll again before the 4th day or else Eve will be human forever. But does Casey have second thoughts? And will she become friends with her own barbie doll? Now I know what you are thinking this movie is so stupid, and your right it is very stupid and silly but for some strange odd reason I actually found myself enjoying it as I haven't seen it in a long time. Tyra and Lindsay were great in it,and I hate to say this but I always cry at the end of the movie where Eve has to go back to being a doll in the end and says to Casey that Sunnydale is where she belongs and that Casey is a great friend to have.If you are looking for a nice fantasy movie to watch or is a fan of Lindsay Lohan before she made all those mediocre films that she is doing nowadays then check it out.

Having seen Lohan recently in Just My Luck I remember this movie from a while back. This movie is much better than Just My Luck as it has more depth and well just a bit more believable. The Parent Trap before this is also a good movie to see, I recommend this one out of the three I have mentioned. While the story line might turn you off, it's a passable movie and great to see Lohan's early performance.Supermodel Tyra Banks also needs a mention if you need some more motivation to see this.

Pleasantly surprised by Tyra's bubbly rendition of a doll's outlook and reaction to 'real life'. The situation of child angst and need for her mother can be handled seriously or lightly. Both help get the point across that in tough times, children need love and support. So what if it comes from a doll accidentally brought to life. The movie did not go too overboard on needing to correct the situation as other movies have. The doll's outlook on life based on infusion from commercial ditties and TV perfection helps to show the difference between TV and reality in a way kids can understand. Talk to you kids about this after the movie but enjoy Eve's bubbly attitude and style during the show.

It's like the Olsen twins or Sabrina movies, it's not gonna change the world in a dramatic way - but it has the Disney 'feel good while crying' trademark. Liked the fact the lill' girl was having none of the 'Barbie' images we're taken with, and was doing her own thing. She was intelligent, stroppy and plays footie. While Eve is.. well, a doll. Beautiful. Perfect (nearly!) and learning that real life doesn't come wrapped in pretty pink ribbon. My fave scene was the dancing one, that really was extraordinary in that it was one of the first hints at interracial flirting between the main characters. The song at the end of it was a bit cheesy, and odd moments of cringing with the angst-ridden, overwrought emotions, but all in all, very nice indeed.
