Jenny (Elizabeth Morris) suffered a tragic event as a child involving her dad and a shower, but we really don't get closure as to the details. As an adult, her mom is ill and with bills piling up she accepts a job on the "Prosperity Project" whose goal is the extreme education of children. Jenny, and two others are to monitor the children. They are expensive live-in hall monitors. While at the project they wear "Google" style glasses. Things are very computer and graphic oriented. The children are like machines and learning at a very high and fast level. At 37 minutes into the film, Jenny flashes back to the event and then about at 50 minutes, things start to unravel as the film becomes ultra confusing until the end, which still leaves you thinking. The title is a play on the Goggle ethics slogan, "Don't do evil." Darby (Elliot James Langridge) another fellow glorified hall monitor makes "Star Trek" references like "Kobayashi Maru" where Kirk won an academy exercise by reprogramming the computer. This is a film that might be more interesting the second time through as things start to make sense at the end, including the writer's conversational clues. I am sure I missed half of the techno-weenie stuff. The problem was that the film consisted of mega computer graphics, dark rooms, air duct scares, and a large assortment of colored filters (I think they used every filter in the pack). This is not a horror film, but a sci-fi thriller. The ending does give you some closure, but for me I still had questions. I don't recommend this film for the casual viewer.Guide: F-word. No sex. Male butt nudity.

I am fairly easily pleased when it comes to movies, but this one became frustrating to watch with in the first 10 minutes. What is wrong with it? The story. Everything else about the film was OK like the acting etc. but the story was just plain stupid. When it started it was OK and logical, but it soon descended into a very poor storyline that seemed was financed because it could be made cheaply, regardless of content.Really you would be better off watching the commercials.

This movie doesn't even deserve to be called a "B" movie. Netflix had it listed as "NR" so and it was the next up movie, so I figured let's just see. Worse decision I could have made. Now my movie preferences will be forever altered with the "Because you watched 'Let's Be Evil'". Don't ruin you Netflix lists with this movie.********** I also agree with hi_im_manic's review on IMDb taking actions against false 10's. Since the rating system works on an averages based system, for every false 10-stars rating, the movie should receive ten 1-star ratings. Ten 1-star ratings carry a lot more weight than one 10-star does. **********

Where to begin, this movie is utterly a piece of garbage in almost every way imaginable. The only redeeming quality is the soundtrack, which has an 80s vibe similar to Stranger Things and It Follows. The Plot was incredibly disjointed, repetitive, uninteresting and plain boring. The initial concept seemed interesting at first but took a steep downhill, which it did not recover from. It took a lot not to shut it off after the first 30 min. I persisted and now wish I hadn't. It is not often a movie can annoy me like this movie did, as I could feel myself get agitated more and more throughout. The Room and Birdemic are far better movies than this. The CGI was decent for the most part, but the AI annoyed me, her voice was so low in volume you could barely hear her, and I believe it was done on purpose, for a reason I can't fathom. This is literally the worst movie I have seen all 2016. Avoid like the plague!
